"Ash did you pick up all your toys? your dad is gonna be here soon"

He shook his head yes and continued to watch the tv

Moments later a knock at the door was heard and I made my way gradually to open it

"Hey D" I said kissing him and welcoming him in

"I'm so sorry to call you on such short notice but Cornelia is in town and she wants to hang out"
