You groggily wake up to the sound of your alarm blaring. Another day at your dream job. You've always wanted to be a tattoo artist, so finally being finished with your apprenticeship and having a permanent spot at the shop is amazing. During your apprenticeship, you built a strong clientele. Today you have an appointment with one of your most loyal clients. Spencer. Spencer isn't like your other clients. Most people have themes or deep meanings within their tattoos. Spencer has a Whomp tattoo. He's fun to tattoo and even more fun to be around. You just have to get through the rest of your day first.
Being a tattoo artist in California means you get a variety of bookings. From grandparents getting their first tattoos with their grandkids to bikers coming in for their 100th tattoo, you see everything here. It's nice being able to meet so many new people. A lot of the time, those people not only became your clients, but also your friends. It keeps life interesting and there is nothing you love more than hearing stories of other people's experiences.

Thirty minutes until your favorite client shows up. You're all set up and ready to go. This is going to be one interesting session. He decided he wants a LEGO R2D2 tattooed on his thigh. You didn't think it could get weirder than the Whomp, but he managed it. Next thing you know he's going to come in asking for the Weezer logo tattooed on him. Ding There he is!
"Hey, Spencer!"
"Hey Y/N! You excited to tattoo my greatest idea yet?"
"Yeah, I don't think you could call it great though"
As Spencer gets settled for his session, you're filled with a new feeling. Why are you so anxious? You've never been nervous to tattoo before. You're confident in your work and you know that Spencer is too. This isn't good. All you can do is push the feeling out of your head. Right now you just need to focus on finishing LEGO R2D2.
"Are you okay, Y/N?"
"Yeah, I'm okay, Spence. Just think I should go grab some water or something. You want anything?"
"I'm good."
As you go to grab water, the feeling comes back again. Maybe it isn't anxiety. Maybe it's butterflies. Do you like Spencer? No, that can't be. You've been friends for so long. You've always been comfortable around him, but that's just because you have similar interests. You can't have a crush on a client. Not only is that bad from a business standpoint, it could ruin your friendship.
You make your way back to Spencer.
"Good?" Spencer asks.
"All good, all we have left is a little bit of shading"
"Good... Hey Y/N, do you have plans after this?"
"Nope. Only plan I had was to rewatch Star Wars"
"Would you maybe want to watch them with me?"
"Of course. I'm always down to watch Star Wars with a friend."
