Phoenix's POV
"This is so exciting." I say as my friends, our ladies, and I sit down in our suite here at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
Today is the finals of the Four Lions Invitational.
"I didn't think you could be any more excited than you were yesterday." Sarah says as she sits down next to me. "But yet here we are."
"I get to watch our baby come to fruition while sitting next to the prettiest woman in the world." I say. "What's not to be excited about?"
"You are so whipped." Kiyana says.
"Mhmm." I say. "And I am so fucking okay with that."
My friends chuckle then Sarah and I get situated.
"By the way you owe me a face licking date before we leave for Ireland." I say as I get comfy under the blanket.
"Oh I know." Sarah says. "And I will gladly set up that date before you leave.
"Yay." I cheer then Sarah and I look at the first page of the program
"You all picked some good teams to invite." Sarah says. "Yesterday was competitive as hell."
Yesterday was the semi-finals of the Four Lions Invitational.
In the 100, 200, 400, and 800, the semi-finals were basically three heats in every event and the top three in each heat advanced to todays finals for a total of 9 runners in the finals of those events.
In the other running races, the top 15 runners in each race advanced to the finals today.
In the field events the top 15 in each event advanced to todays finals.
"Yeah we did." I say as Sarah flips to the next page then we look at it.
"Remind me which high school you all went to." Sarah says. "I mean I know you and Isobel's, but I don't
"Well I went to Chesapeake Bay Academy, Isobel went to Coral Coast High, Yasmijn went to Lakeview, and Kiyana went to Oakwood." I say.
