Brave (Damon Salvatore x OC)

History

"What are you?" Elena demands.

"You should come in." Stefan offers and opens the door to reveal Ember standing behind him.

"Ember. What are you doing here?" She demands.

"I'm here to get answers El, just like you." She responds.

Elena looks back at Stefan. "What are you?" She repeats. 

"You know." Stefan says as he can't meet her eyes.

Elena suddenly looks scared. "No, I don't."

"Yes, you do, or you wouldn't be here." He responds.

"It's not possible. It can't be." Elena whispers.

"Stefen, please explain what going on." Ember asks.

"Everything you know... And every belief that you have is about to change. Are you ready for that? Both of you." He asks.

Ember tilts her head. "What are you?" She asks.

"I'm a vampire." He admits.

"I shouldn't have come. Ember were leaving." Elena grabs her sister's hand and tugs.

"What?" Ember looks at her in surprise. "I don't want to leave. I need answers and so do you."

"No. Please stay." Stefan implores.

Elena suddenly tries to run away, but Stefan... blurs... and is suddenly in front of her.

"Woah. How did you do that?" Ember demands but Elena is freaking.

"Please don't be afraid of me." Stefan begs Elena.

"Let me go." She sobs.

"No. Elena, there's things that you have to know and understand. Both of you or you're going to be in danger." He pleads.

"Let me go!" Elena runs and gets into her car. "Ember NOW!" She yells. Ember shoots Stefan a regretful look and climbs in the car and Elena drives away.

Elena tells her about looking up old articles at the tv station, how she linked it to the animal attacks and Vicky's attack. Ember is honestly impressed at her sister's investigative skills.

They arrive home and Ember turns to her. "El, we need to talk to him. We need answers." Ember tries but Elena won't listen and rushes into the house.  She runs to her room where she begins to freak out when Stefan appears again.

"Elena." She tries to run out of her room, but Stefan pushes the door shut and corners Elena against the door. "I would never hurt you. You're safe with me." He tries to assure her.

"All those animal attacks, those people who died..." Elena begins.

"No. That was Damon!" Stefan insists.

"Damon?" She questions.

"Yes. I don't drink human blood. That's not how I choose to survive, but Damon does! I'll explain everything to you, but I beg you, Elena, do not tell anybody." He whispers.

"How can you ask me that?" She demands.

"Because you knowing this is dangerous for so many reasons. You can hate me, but I need you to trust me." He begs.

"Just go. Just go, please. Go. If you mean me no harm, then you'll go!" She cries.

Stefan leaves quietly. Ember is standing in the hall, and they share a long look.

"I never wanted this." He tells her.

"I believe you. And I believe you won't hurt us. El needs time." She tries to comfort him, and he silently leaves without another word.
