Mummy Dearest

Jenna's in the kitchen of the Gilbert house eating ice cream when Elena joins her.

"Are John and Jeremy asleep?" She asks.

Elena nods. "I think so." and reaches for spoon.

"Where's Em?" Her aunt asks.

Elena stares at her wide eyed with a mouth full of ice cream.

"She went to Damon's." Jenna surmises and Elena nods slowly. Jenna sighs. "You think it's strange that Em ended up being the one in the super mature and honest relationship? Even if it is with a potential psychopath." She asks.

"Oh. There's no potential, Damon is defiantly a psychopath." Elena complains and Jenna smiles not realizing she is being serious. "Strange... No. Surprising, maybe." She shrugs. "I'm just glad he makes her happy." Elena admits. "Even if I don't get it."

Jenna moans. "If I go to bed right now, there's a chance I'll wake up hangover-free." She comments and Elena grins as the doorbell rings. "Who's that?" Jenna wonders and stands up to answer it as Elena puts up the ice cream.

She opens the door and reveals Isobel. "Hi. You must be Jenna."

Elena is walking behind but stops dead in her tracks when she sees who it is at the door.

"I'm... Elena and Ember's mother." She looks at Elena. "Isobel."

Jenna looks completely shocked and floored.

"Hello, Elena. It's nice to see you again. Is your sister home too?"

Jenna looks back at Elena. "Again?"

Elena is completely speechless. Isobel looks back at Jenna. "So you're the woman who's dating my husband. I need to speak to Elena. May I come in?"

Elena finds her voice. "N-n-no. Don't... don't invite her in."

"I need to talk to you, Elena." Isobel tries to sound reasonable.

"No!" She slams the door in Isobel's face and looks at Jenna, who has tears sliding down her face.

"You knew she was still alive? Ember? Ric? John? Did they know?" Jenna demands.

"I can explain everything, Jenna." Elena pleads.

Jenna shakes her head. "No."

"No. Jenna, please." Jenna runs upstairs and Elena dashes after her. "Jenna, please. Wait. Jenna, please wait."

Jenna's runs into her bedroom and slams and locks the door. Elena is outside, at the door and knocks and rattles the doorknob. "Jenna, you have to talk to me. I... I need to explain what's going on. Jenna, please." Elena begs as Jenna is sitting on the floor, crying.

At the Salvatore Boarding House Stefan and Damon are going down the stairs.

"Isobel just showed up at their front doorstep?" Stefan demands.

"Yeah, Ember took out of here so fast I'm amazed she didn't leave little fiery cartoon tire tracks." Damon confirms. "What's she doing here?" 

"I don't know. That's what I'm gonna go find out." Stefan reaches for his coat as Katherine joins them.

"I don't think that you should tell her that I'm here." She anounces.

"What? Why?" Stefan asks.

"It's better if she and John not, know that I stayed in town after I got out of the tomb." She explains.

"You're the one in cahoots with them. You made a deal with John that almost got me killed." Damon reminds her.

She glares at him. "I did what I had to get out of the tomb. Now I'm reconsidering my alliance." She turns around but Stefan interrupts her.
