A Little Too Late

A punch and the wolf like creature fell and his eyes rolled. '"they don't end! Kieran how are you holding up!"

" I am fine , Miyel and sul are with me". Kieran shouted back.

Mitch on the other hand was gifted with strength so he went hand to hand with the creatures that seemed to have no end to them.

Rolling back to a few moments ago, after they entered yet another cave that had crystals everywhere, the magic in the room was also strong, not as normal but nourishing none the less. Everyone decided to take a break and rest here for a few hours. They decided after the fifth cave that once they entered a new one if it was a dead end they would move on immediately to cover more ground seeing that the dragon wouldn't tell them where the exit was.

After they had a fire going they roasted the remaining boar meat drank water and laid down for a rest. Soon after , they heard growls coming from the opening they checked. Kieran woke up everyone including Johnoya she finally came back and took over her body.

When the beast came into view they were as tall a Kieran, strong, mean and ready for a meal. That was how they got to now where they were fighting the creatures.

Johnoya held her own seeing that she hand pent up tension from everything that has been going on. Her eyes glowed, she killed monster after monster, soon after Kieran and the others were looking at her strange.

"She fights li-like a real animal." Miyel whispered but everyone was able to hear.

Johnoya ripped apart everything in her sight , after Kieran's and the groups first two kills , all the beast targeted the dragon. Snarls ,growls , crunching of bones and gasps. Kieran's eyes glowed unconsciously staring at her mate.

After all the wolf like creatures were killed , the way Johnoya looked had everyone in fighters mode. Even though her eyes glowed , they looked wild and frantic, her nails long and sharpe smeared with blood dripping to the cave floor, the scales spread across her body even more they too glowed, her breathing was raggedy and she growled with each exhale, her ripped cloth covering below her navel and her breast were soaked in blood too.
The group was backed up to a wall because of the crystals that surrounded the waters   edge. When Johnoya looked over to them, her breathing calmed down a bit she was staring at the mage. When she saw how everyone looked ready to pounce she relaxed her stance.

"I am going for a dip to wash myself off, you don't have to be afraid it is me an not my dragon." She stated and walked off,

Everyone released a breath.

"Everyone stay here, I'll go check on her." Kieran stated sighing as she left.

Walking to the Waters edge through the crystals, Kieran saw Johnoya naked and rubbing the grime from her skin, the look the girl gave everyone earlier was murderous and animalistic,though looking at her now she didn't seem like she would kill her.

"I have never seen anyone fight like that before." Kieran stated announceing herself to the girl.

"Well it's not everyday you get to fight for your life for the first time." Johnoya joked which Amoya didn't get. The girl looked at her confused.

" This was your first time? I have had many of those , so have the men you see with us traveling. You would be surprised the battles you have to find to have peace."

"Your speaking to me as if we are close. " Johnoya asked face straight.

" It is best we have peace between us rather than fight under here. Why won't you convenience your dragon to help us ? This could all be done with."

"I am your enemy , you were the one that said so yourself, if we let you guys out of here , knowing who I am . You would kill me , Elijah told me it would be the politically correct thing to do. Getting rid of an enemy before they actually become a problem. You would not spare me , look ,me in the eyes and tell me I am wrong".

Kieran didn't meet her gaze.

"So I thought." The girl sighed an resumed washing herself off.

Kieran sighed, her knees where now under her chin she watched the girl wash herself and began swimming around the pool behaving childish butt naked. Her eyes glowed a bright green and she giggled times when the girl would do something goffy.

"What's the worse that could happen." Kieran stated taking off her tunic and jumping in the water.

Johnoya was surprised, she stopped and looked gawking at the mage. The water was crystal clear, so she could see EVERYTHING. Johnoya's cheeks burn.

"What are you doing, your company can come here and see you naked here with me. Though the girls eyes now shine as bright as Kieran."

"I wouldn't be able to, my company wouldn't be able to kill you." Kieran said swimming out to where the girl was. Once she was close enough she boldly rapped her hands around the neck of the girl and pushed her to the edge of the other side of the water.

"The pull of the bond is as strong for me as it is for you, I've waited many moons for you too". Kieran whispered vain like streaks appeared all over her body as the scales expanded and glowed on Johnoya.

"MATE." They both repeated to each other's face.

"Kieran, we checked , those things are all go-,  Kieran! What in the mother of the green are you doing!!" Kia shouted

"Quite!!" Kieran shouted separating from the girl and swimming back to the other side. While she got dressed Kia continued.

"That was foolish! What were you thinking, that is our enemy!"

"AND MY MATE!" Kieran shouted the cave they were in shook, debris fell in the water.

"This is hard for me , more than you can imagine, please suck it up, we need her." Kieran ended glancing a look at Johnoya that was now back in the rags still wet.

Kia had hard eyes looking at the glowing scales. "It is as you say first advisor."
