Regret PT 3

After Johnoya and Kieran separated looking into each others eyes Kia was just standing there breathing hard with his mouth agape .

"what the hell was that, the lights and the flames, you guys were literally glowing!!". He exclaimed upset but happy that the little dragon clamed down enough to listen to reason.

"I wish there was a better time to say this, but what now, the king tried the kill her instead of listening to us no matter what we said." Kia stated brows frowned and looking at the two.

Miyel came to the clearing finally breathing hard, when he saw the destruction the flames from the little dragon caused he opened his eyes looking at Johnoya . "I see why the king was afraid" he whispered to himself slowing down to a walk.

The rest of the team arrived later and it was sul that surprised even Kieran shouting out to everyone ."We were followed ! we need to move now!".

Johnoya held on to Kieran tight . "Everyone hold huddle around, we are getting out of here." and just like before she was able to teleport everyone out of the filed without direct contact.

Moments after Johnoya and the guys left, two dragon kin came out of the forest . "tsk, they knew we were tailing them, how will we report this in." One of the men said

"simple , we tell him the dragon saw us and lost us in the green for the moment, the entire forest is tapped with our men preparing for the infiltration, they can not hide from us long." the two men discussed, turned and left

"Where did you take us EJ." Kieran asked smiling looking at the little dragon.

Johnoya blushed deep but was hidden thankfully by the olive skin her mate loves to see so much.

"EJ, what is that." Kia asked

"The new name I have given her, Elijah and Johnoya, figured it would be great." Kieran stated smiling.

"you brought us back into the caves! Why!?" Sul asked angered

"This is the last place anyone would think to look for us , not to mention it is underground." Johnoya stated. "We have to think of a way to get through to your king so that this war can stop." She continued to say.

"I will be going back with Kia so that we can talk some sense into him and see if we can get a truce , one that allows you to fight on our side . I believe that the one in charge on the other side and the men fighting are not on the same page we can use that to our advantage. I will be gone for a few hours , will you be alright with the men here?".

"Yes I will be alright, i believe after what they saw , they wouldn't dare try anything rash. Go I will be alright." Johnoya stated holding on to her face .

After saying goodbyes , Kieran and Kia left to talk with the king leaving Sul, Mitch and Miyel with the little dragon.

"I always though your skin with the hole scales thing looked cool." Sul stated looking at her intently mostly on her arms and legs along with her torso that was exposed because of the rags she had on.

"thanks?" Johnoya stated and just like that they took a easy time talking with each and everyone of the men creating a less tense environment for both sides.

"So , do you guys lay eggs of just pop out a human baby?" Sul asked again eyes filled with curiosity

"Its very similar to demi humans actually, children develop their abilities by the age of three and the taint of the dragon by age five." Elijah answered but both voices mixed.

The guy just had questions after questions , finally Miyel interrupted and saved the poor girl.

"What do you thing is going to happen after your mate talks to the king and the commander?" He asked , the cave the came into was one they had fought the wolf like monsters. They had a fire going and huddled around it.

"I don't know to be honest, I really hope she get through to him." she answered staring at the fire it got quite after that.

"Why will you not understand , I am the first advisor , why would I ever try to bring harm to this kingdom. She is not going to betray us, I know this, I- I know her." Kieran argued

"Father , she is right the little time I have spent with her , it seemed like she was running away from something or someone. Whatever they were doing she didn't like and we found her , luck was on our side because turned out she is mated to OUR mage, one with gifts even we haven't explored , why can you not see that we have a major card, a literal dragon willing to fight for us."

"did the dragon say that herself, what do you know, what if something happens and Kieran gets killed , what then will that dragon do. Having an unstable weapon is worse than a broken solider. Boy be still and listen to your king." The commander stated.

"Your father speaks truth, that thing was what caused a war in the first place in the pass getting rid of it now would deal a great blow to the enemy, imagine their hope and future leader killed by the enemy. that would drive fear into the hearts of every solider , every citizen. this fight would be a breeze." The king stated face emotionless.

Kieran simply held on to Kia and teleported out of the room leaving the king and the commander. There was no surprise on their faces. At that moment a lieutenant walked in.

"They have placed shields all around the city as expected ,we have a few of our men inside the city as civilians they will be able to communicate with us the situation there, my King." he said and exited the tent.

"Everything is in order, Kieran and Kia will not be on the front lines and we have a trump card, that dragon and our mage. She will have to figure this out on her own." the king sighed "This is tiresome, has the rat returned since?"

"No they only gave us info on their commander Borus and their mage, the strongest among their ranks . Labelled commander and acting head of city, based on the report they are strong.

The moment Kieran and Kia appeared in the cave they left , she saw Mitch nursing his side ,Sul knocked out and Miyel nursing a bleeding wound over his left eye.

"Glad your back ,we have a problem, the lizards somehow knew we were here, they took EJ." Miyel stated breathing hard.

"No!" Kieran shouted eyes aglow.

Johnoya was numb all over, she couldn't even feel Elijah." What did you inject me with, Please take me back to my mate." she was barely able to get out, going in and out of consciences.

"They were exactly where he said they would be , it took some time but one of our teams were able to apprehend them in the wolfen den."

"Very good, this is wonderful news. Tell the men in the palace to act immediately, We have the mages dragon."

Johnoya wasn't fully awake but she was able to get a glimpse of the man talk and she recognise him as the father of the mage , Amoya's father, she never did speak well of him . The way he looked now was nothing like what he looked in the palace, he looked younger.

"Don't worry baby dragon , soon you will meet your faith." the man said laughing and walking away as Johnoya closed her eyes.
