After weeks of planning and waiting and extreme excitement, the day was finally here. Gigi's Halloween party. Her house was decorated with eerie lights to show off the cobwebs draped over every surface. Ghoulish jack-o-lanterns flickering from the porch and were scattered over the lawn, and electric eyes peered out from the bushes and trees. Wails and screams filled Jake, Shane, Kylie, and Faith's ears. Then when they were halfway up the walkway to Gigi's door, a coffin popped open and a skeleton bolted upright. Faith screamed and quickly gripped Jake's arm and Shane cracked up laughing.

"Babe," Kylie spoke, slapping Shane's chest.

"Sorry. Sorry," Shane said, settling his laughter.

Shane was a zombie football player. He used his brother's old uniform and he tore some holes in the jersey and the pants. He had some splotches of fake blood on the pant's legs and some on his neck.

Kylie was cat woman and she wore a black silky jumpsuit that fit her perfectly. She even had a choker with a bell dead center and a long tail that went down to her knees and black boots that went past her knees.

And Jake and Faith were Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Even though the outside was wonderfully decorated, the inside was even better. The party was in Gigi's basement, which had been decorated into a combination of crypt and dance club. The black lights gave everything an unearthly glow, music pounded through the room, and a fog machine poured a layer of gloom over the floor.

Gigi was dressed as Lydia from the Shadowhunters T.V. series. She had on a wedding dress and she held a veil in her hand. Right beside her was Chase and of course, he was Alec also from the Shadowhunters series. He wore a nice tuxedo that was obviously new and he even had the tattoos drawn on in the visible places.

"Where's Magnus, Alec," Kylie joked and everyone laughed.

"The house looks amazing Gigi," Jake complimented her.

"Thank you," Gigi said, placing her hands on her chest.

"Your welcome," Jake said with a chuckle.

"The party just started so go ahead in," Chase said, moving to the side to stand next to Gigi.

Jake and his friends all walked inside the house, heading straight down to the basement. There was probably half of the student body at this party but Jake wasn't surprised. Shane and Kylie both scurried off in the same direction and Faith headed over to the other girls on the cheer team.

"You have got to be kidding me," Jake sighed, rushing over to a group of people.

He tugged on a male's arm and he turned to face him.

"Hey," Tanner hollered cheerfully, throwing his arms up.

"What are you doing here," Jake asked, sounding angry.

"Dude it's a party," Tanner stated. "Also- a friend of a friend."

"Lucky you," Jake said with a fake chuckle.

"I know," Tanner hollered.

"Enjoy the party," Jake said, walking away from him.

Music blared and a stew of conversations buzzed through the room. Lights strobed and with the sprawling basement full of people in costumes, it's hard to see who's where.

Jake headed over to Shane and the rest of the football players and they were still going on about Easton's forfeiting the game. Jake cracked up along with them and then his laughter slowly faded when he saw Seth coming down the stairs. Everything and everyone around him became still. Just like when Jake first saw him it's as if Seth was moving in slow motion.
