can't sleep without you - Tom

"Hey, baby? It's me, it's okay. I'm gonna go get some water." I hear Tom say huskily in a sleepy voice.

"Mmm.." I moan softly as I wake up. "You aren't asleep?.." I ask, still waking up.

"Yeah, I don't know, I just.."

I sigh softly as I sit up, inching closer to him. "I mean, have you tried?" I tilt my head. I didn't mean it in a rude way, but I knew that Tom liked to just stay up when he wasn't feeling sleepy.

"I've tried to, I just can't go to sleep." I hear him sigh tiredly. "I can't." He whispers, pain and tiredness audible in his voice. "I don't know why, I just lay here like I'm tired, I want to sleep, but I just can't."

"Babe," I sigh softly.

"I can't do it anymore." He mumbles. "I just want to go to sleep." He says, looking exhausted.

I hear his shaky breathing fill the room as I place my hand on his. "C'mere baby," I whisper.

"No, it's fine, just go back to sleep.." he mumbles.

"No, please come here I want to help you."

I hear him shuffling around and finally settling in my arms. He sighs softly, laying his head on my chest as I trace patterns on his shirtless body.

He breathes softly on my chest. "I don't know why I've been having so much trouble sleeping." He sighs out.

"I know baby, I know." I whisper, scratching his head softly.

He hums, feeling my touch radiate through his body. He sighs softly, his warm breath hitting my bare skin.

"This is sweet of you.." he breathes out. "Thank you baby, I love you."

"Mmm, that's what I'm here for." I smile down at him, kissing his forehead.

I feel his chest rising and falling against me before he finally speaks again. "I really appreciate all that you do for me baby, I really do." He says.

"Shhh, babe, just try and go back to sleep." I sooth, stroking his hair.

He soon falls asleep in my arms, peacefully breathing as I smile down at him, falling asleep a few moments later.
