POV: Stan Marsh

It was Wednesday, the day of the trial ride. Almost everyone is going. The pony camp kids are coming, The trainers are coming and even Kyles coming!

Everyone was tacking up and getting ready, some people bailed on us but mostly everyone was coming.

Kyle and I were already at the mucking spot along with Tweek, Clyde, Kenny, Token and Steve.

I'm surprised Clyde's even coming. He's really only coming because Tokens coming.
Kyle has never been on a trail ride even though this asswipe has been riding his whole life. His parents restricted riding to only in the stable and focusing on working.

"What if-ACK-PEBBLE Fr-r-reaks out!! GAH!! Too much pressure, man!" Tweek said complaining to Steve.

"Your going to to spook Pebble, relax." Steve calmly said.

"I cant relax! We're all gonna die!"

"We're not all gonna die."

I tuned out there conversation as I focused on Kyle.

We're cool now, right? I thought to myself as he started to mount Sugar. I followed his influence and mounted Smiley.

"Alright, guys. We're gonna start walkin'. Everyone here?" Bebe asked examining the crowd.

The crowd nodded and made sure she knew everyone was here.

Kyle looked at me reassurance as we started to walk.

I nudged him a bit letting him know he'll be alright.

We walked until we came across a big field we're the trainers basically dropped us off and took the pony camp kids on the safe trail. They stayed in a walk and a slow trot at times.

We started to canter across the fields. I let thé wind hit my face, refreshingly enough... I opened my eyes to look at Kyle who was smiling and cantering with his arms wide.

Everyone looked like Eagles swarming their prey.

Token looked very proper as he rode and Bebe was the total opposite. Maybe it's because they have two completely different disciplines! Obviously.

Clyde was trying to impress someone, so he started to do small tricks. Nothing big because he had a western saddle on.

I went bareback, just this time, with my bareback pad.

Kyle looked over at me and he looked as if he was having the time of his life.

I went over to him as he was petting Sugar.

"So, up to a race?" I raised my eyebrow smiling.

"Never had one but sure!" He's never had a race? Jesus christ, he's like Rapunzel! Just a ginger and rides horses.

"Aw man, there fun. Cmon. This twig will be our starting point and the trees will be the finish line. Ready?" I quickly rambled getting into position.

"No, wait! wait!" He's cute when he's confused.

"Now, i'm ready."

Token came over and a whole crowd followed him.

"3" Token was the counter for some reason?

"2"

"1"

"Go!!!" Everyone screamed as I squeezed like I've never before. I immediately started to canter as of Kyle who was in front of me galloping.

"Not this time, asshole." I slurred while Smiley grunted starting to gallop.

I passed him and started to get tired. Bareback racing was not easy. Kyle passed me in no time and just as we were at the finish line. He passed immediately. He didn't stop though. He kept going.

"What the fuck." Craig said with a straight face.

"Get back here!" Clyde yelled.

I started to trot after him as he wouldn't stop through the bushes and trees yelping for help.

everyone just stood there as he was out of sight.

"Guys! Hello? Come on!!" I raised my eyebrows and complained.

They started to trot too as I cantered trying to catch up with him.

I dismounted to try and find him in the woods.

"Kyle?"

"Kyle!"

"Guys! He's over here!" I heard Bebe yell.
I ran immediately to were Bebe was calling.

I saw him laying in Bebes arms.

"Kyle? You alright?" I called out in concern.

"He's dead! ARGH! I'm next!" Tweek screeched running back to Pebble.

Unsurprisingly Craig followed behind.

I kneeled down to his level and moved his hair.

"He's unconscious and his horse is nowhere to be seen." Clyde looked around.

He must've fallen off Sugar as she took off.

I examined his pale face. There were cuts under his eyes, cheeks, mouth. Mostly everywhere. Probably coming from riding through the branches.

He hadn't been bleeding, just bruised.

I picked him up bridle style and lead Smiley back to the stables as a few others looked for Sugar and others followed me.
