Kimberly smiled and adjusted her bag, "Hey! You wanted to see me?"
"Yes! Kimberly!" Mr. Biom grinned at her. "My star pupil! I just got finished grading your latest essay and I just have to say, you are so detail-oriented it amazes me! Your ability to pinpoint the very minute details and recall things that even I have a hard time remembering is astonishing!"
Kimberly chuckled, "Oh thank you. It helps when this is kinda my favorite class so I put a lot of work into it."
"And it most certainly shows," he leaned back in his chair. "Well, you got full marks on that essay. And as the only person who did get full marks first go around, that means you won't have to come to class next week before spring break. Everyone else will be working on revisions, but you my dear are maybe the first student I've ever taught with a real knack for botany. I'm actually going to recommend you for my advanced research class if you would be interested?"
"Yes!" She grinned. "I am most definitely interested, that would be amazing thank you!"
He laughed, "I figured you would be. Now go enjoy your early spring break. I'll see you in three weeks."
"Thank you again Mr. B, I hope you have a good spring break!" Kimberly left with a huge grin.
She opened her dorm room door and tossed down her bags.
"Hey Kim," her roommate Lucy smiled. "How was botany?"
"Amazing as usual, and I get to skip next weeks revision," Kimberly grabbed her textbook and set it down on her textbook, her bag immediately got lighter.
Lucy laughed, "So you mean to tell me you get to skip all six of your classes next week? So you get three full weeks off?"
"It pays off to be prepared. If you had taken my advice you'd be getting an extra week too."
Lucy shook her head, "Sorry I've been prioritizing having fun over my school work. You could relax a bit and have fun you know?"
"Parties are not really my thing, plus I have fun all the time," Kimberly scoffed.
"You'd have more fun if you just told that cute guy from your hometown the truth," Lucy smirked crossing her arms.
Kimberly shrugged, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Oh please, you and I both know you are being delusional about your feelings for him."
Kimberly rolled her eyes and checked the time. "You better get going or you'll be late for physics, again."
"Oh shit!" Lucy raced around and grabbed her bag, throwing her long black hair back into a ponytail. "See ya! Have a good drive back to Hawkins!"
"Bye Luce! See you in a few weeks!"

Steve rants as he drives, "And there's Heidi tomorrow night, but the problem with Heidi is that she's going out of state for college. So it's like do I really wanna start another relationship that has no point other than sex? I mean, I just- I'm not. I don't know. Does that make sense to you?" He looks over and sees her putting on mascara. "Robin, are you listening?"
"Uh, yes. I'm listening-" Robin pauses and looks at him.
"What did I just say?"
"You said something about sex with Linda."
"No, I'm talking about Heidi!"
"Cut me some slack, please."
