Nancy opens the door to her house. The inside is covered in vines.
Robin looks around, "Might be time to get a maid, Wheeler."
"Come on, I don't want to stay here longer than we have to," Nancy grabs Kimberly's hand and pulls her upstairs.
The others follow them.
"The word 'gate' derives from an old Norse word 'gat' which means path or even road. It was meant to mean a gap in a wall that was closed off but turned into an entryway, although some people like gates simply for decorative purposes like the wrought iron gates people like to use," Kimberly nods at them.
They all ignore her.
Steve pauses and hears voices.
Nancy lets go of Kimberly and goes to her closet. She grabs a shoe box. Kimberly blinks and grabs the first bag she sees and dumps it out.
"Hey, wait-" Nancy sighs, "Actually do whatever you need Kimmy."
Kimberly walks around Nancy's room grabbing various items.
Eddie and Robin share a look but shrug.
Nancy sets the box down and opens it.
"Those aren't guns," Eddie points at the shoes.
Robin says, "These heels are a bit pointy but I was hoping for something along the line of a deadly projectile."
"I- I don't understand."
"Maybe you left them somewhere else."
"There's a six-year-old in the house. I know where I keep my guns. And also, I threw these away years ago."
Kimberly pauses, "This bag Kimzy. This bag represents everything you know. Give each object a type, that way if you need one you can grab that object and remember. Keep them together and you'll never lose control." Kimberly grabs a pencil and shuts her eyes.
Robin furrows her brows and looks at Kimberly, "Ok. I think she's... doing something."
Nancy glances down at the notes on her desk and goes through them.
"I get that grades are important to you, but perhaps studying can wait til we get out?" Robin looks at her.
"These are from sophomore chemistry."
Kimberly laughs, "Chemistry. I can name all of the periodic table of elements and their components. No you can't. Yes I can Dust, give me an element, I'll prove it to you. Na. Sodium, atomic number 11, atomic mass 22.989769 u, boiling point of 1,621 Fahrenheit." Kimberly laughs again and puts the pencil in the bag.
Eddie shakes his head, "I don't even want to ask."
"And this- this wallpaper, this is old wallpaper," Nancy looks around her room. And this mirror, this went to a yard sale. And you..." She grabbed the bear off the bed, "You're not supposed to be here. No, I gave you to cousin Joanna two years ago." She puts the bear down and grabs her diary.
Eddie asks, "What is it?"
"Nancy? You're freaking me out? And I'm already freaked out from what Kimmy is going on about," Robin looks at her.
Kimberly crawls over the bed and grabs a few books off Nancy's bedside table, "Stories and stories. My favorite is Alice in Wonderland. We're all mad here," Kimberly laughs. "I'm not mad! Madness isn't a bad thing! It just means you're like me!" She bursts out into giggles and shoves the book into the bag.
