Genevieve's POV

"Both of you, teeth, now!" I yelled to Celine and Theodore who I just finished getting ready for school. They both ran out of their bedroom to the bathroom and stepped up onto their stools.

I finished getting ready myself as they brushed their teeth. I had put my hair into braids earlier and put a very light amount of makeup on. I wore light blue, baggy jeans and a white, form-fitting shirt that was slightly cropped.

I pulled on a pair of sneakers and adjusted my necklace as I looked into the mirror. "Sissy, done!" I heard Celine yell and I sighed before picking my bag up off the floor and throwing it over my shoulder.

I walked down the short hallway as they were stepping out of the bathroom. "Last one down the stairs is a dookie-head!" Celine yelled before pushing past Theodore to race to the stairs. "CeCe! Don't push him."

She didn't even acknowledge me and continued to fly down the stairs with Thedore following closely behind. They reached the bottom of the stairs and ran to the kitchen.

"Daddy!" They cheered in unison as they saw him placing their plates on the table. "Monkeys!" He yelled back at the same time as them as they found their seats at the kitchen table.

I walked over to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water. "You got it from here? I don't want to be late." I asked him and he turned around with a smile.

My dad was a very bubbly and optimistic person, even on his worst days he always put on a brave face. I see where I get it from.

"Of course, my little junior. Go! Make some friends." I rolled my eyes at his comment and gave him a quick side hug. "I love you, Dad," I mumbled and he kissed the top of my head. "I love you too, kiddo."

I walked over behind my siblings and kissed their cheeks which caused them to pull away in disgust. "Oh, hush, you guys love me!" They both stuck their tongues out at me. "Make sure you give mommy hugs and kisses before you leave."

They both nodded in unison and I quickly made my way through the house and to the front door. I passed the living room doorway on my way there and sighed when I saw my mother sleeping on the couch.

I opened the door and stepped down off the porch to head to the bus stop. Once I reached the bus stop I looked around quickly at the students who were waiting as well.

There were two guys goofing around and hitting each other while laughing loudly. One had short blonde hair with jeans and a band t-shirt on for the Foo Fighters. The other had long brown hair and held a cigarette in between his fingers, taking hits every five seconds.

There were a few other students who didn't stick out to me like the other boys did. I heard the bus approaching and turned to watch it slowly pull up. The two boys stepped beside me and the one threw his cigarette to the ground.

I stepped onto the bus behind one of the kids who was at the bus stop and scanned the bus. No two people looked the same, but really stood out to me was two boys who sat next to each other.

One had black hair that was spiked in the back and the other had a large cap on with dreads dangling off to the side. They didn't seem like they could ever hang out together, let alone sit on the bus together.

I sat down in an empty spot and the two boys that were at the bus stop cheered loudly once I got out of their way. I peeked over the back of the seat to see the boy with the dreads doing a creative handshake with the long-haired boy.

They must be friends, or one could assume. I turned around to face forward, occasionally glancing out the window to see what the area looked like. Germany is beautiful, but not as beautiful as France.
