I sighed as I approached the bus stop. The holiday break went by way too quickly and I wasn't ready to be back in school. Gustav smiled when he noticed me and waved.

I looked at Georg who pulled the cigarette from his lips and smiled. "Hey, Genie," He said quietly and I sent him a small smile. Good, he must not remember the kiss.

"Hey, guys," I said as I took the empty spot next to them. "Recover from the party yet?" Gustav asked me and I nodded. "I didn't drink that much. How about you Georg?" I leaned forward to see him next to Gustav.

"I still have a migraine. The last thing I really remember is Tom and I dancing. Did I make it to midnight?" Gustav and I both laughed and shook our heads.

"Nope. You took a shot with us and fell asleep on the counter while still standing up so we put you to bed." I told him and he nodded once as he tried to remember. The bus pulled up and they let me walk in front of them.

Bill's face didn't light up like it normally does when he sees me but he did flash me a kind smile. I took the empty spot next to him. "You alright?" I asked him and he nodded without looking at me.

I wasn't going to pry but I knew something was off. Bill is always bubbly and full of energy around me. How he's acting is so unlike his normal. I'll talk to Tom later to see if he has an idea of what's going on.

The bus ride was very quiet as everyone seemed to be exhausted coming back to school after the holidays. Once we pulled up in front of the school we filed out of our seats.

"We'll see you later, Gus," I said to him as the rest of us broke off from him. "You guys go ahead, I have to use the bathroom before class starts," Bill said before breaking off from us as well.

Tom, Georg and I continued walking to class. "Is everything okay with him? He's awfully quiet which isn't normal for him." I spoke quietly to Tom and he shrugged his shoulders.

"Did you tell him?" I asked in a whisper and he shook his head. "No, did you?" He asked and I shook my head in response. "Do you think he knows somehow?" I asked as we approached the classroom.

"He would ask me if he suspected it. He's far too nosey to let it go." He told me as we found our seats. I nodded before looking away. I wasn't sure if I should be worried or not. Tom doesn't seem to be.

The guilt was eating at me, though. He was my best friend and I wanted nothing more than to tell him. Not only was I scared of how he would react, but I also wanted to wait until Tom was ready too.

Bill came in shortly after we sat down and took the spot next to me. He looked over at me and I sent him a small smile, receiving one in return.

We didn't have any assignments to do since we had just gotten back from break so I swung my legs out so I was facing him directly. "How are you feeling?" I asked him, hoping he would spill.

"Tired," He said quietly. "I wasn't ready to be back yet." He finished and I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I feel you," I said and there was a moment of silence.

I heard Tom and Georg speaking to each other in German to the right of me. "You have anything planned this weekend?" I asked Bill and he shook his head.

"My parents have a banquet to attend for my dad's job Saturday night," I started. "I was wondering if you'd like to come over. Spend some time with me and the twins. We can watch a scary movie once they go to bed."
