A sweet little relationship (pt.4)

Emma's pov:

I toss my stuff in my bag and hop in my Uber. Today I'm meeting with the whole cast and even Tim Burton himself! I'm so excited, especially since I haven't really met anyone else except Jenna.
-"hmm hi, you're Enid correct?"
One of the set people asks, looking at their clipboard. I nod.
-"yes, I am Enid Sinclair"
I reply with a smile. They just look at me for a moment.
-"yeah ok, set 8B. Most of the cast should already be there. Check in with Amanda then report to Tim"
-"got it, thank you!"
The set person ignores me and walks away. I'm sure things'll be better once I'm with the rest of the cast. As I walk the yard I find set 8B and enter.

-"look with all due respect I just don't see the point in ANY of this! Why should Wednesday have any love interest??"
-"Jenna we've gone over this"
-"no we went over Tyler. I'm ok with Tyler being a love interest because of how Tim would like to end it but what's the point of Xavier also being a love interest? From what I read they're 100% just friends"
-"Jenna they clearly- oh. Hello Emma"
The casting director from the other day says. Jenna and some of the script writers turn to look at me. I awkwardly smile and give a slight wave.
-"hey"

Jenna's pov:

My face turns red from embarrassment.
-"I'll get you signed in and take you over to Tim. Then we can review your contract"
Amanda says, walking over to Emma and then walking away.
-"shit that was embarrassing"
I mumble. One of the writers sighs.
-"look Jenna, just get through the first episode. If this whole love interest thing really doesn't seem to fit by then we'll change it"
-"yeah, have a little faith. We've been doing this for years after all"
The other chimes in. I sigh.
-"yeah alright, I don't mean to be a bother it just didn't feel right for my character"

-"don't worry, we understand. We promise it won't be like that"
-"ok, thank you"
I say, grabbing my script as I begin to leave.
-"ugh entitled actors"
-"yeah I hear ya, I dunno why they always think they know best"
I hear them mumble to each other. I bite my lip as I walk to meet with the rest of the cast.
-"alright everyone! Settle down, I'm sure you're all happy to be here"
Amanda yells, entering the room as Emma shyly enters behind her. Me and Emma make eye contact and I look at her blankly for a moment before giving her a slight wave. She smiles and waves back and I can't help but to smirk a bit to myself.

Emma's pov:

-"Jenna, you'll be sitting here"
The casting director says, pointing to a seat at the far end of the table.
-"Emma...hmm let's have you sit next of her to the left. Percy your on Jenna's right"
Oh thank GOD. I walk over and pull out a chair by Jenna. I'm instantly enveloped in her obviously expensive perfume. She turns to me and smiles.
-"I can't wait to start working with you Enid"
Wow she's perfect. Her dark hair, long eyelashes, her full pink lips, perfect teeth, and adorable freckles. She's utterly stunning to look at up close.
-"same to you, Wednesday"
I say, returning the smile. A tall boy then takes the seat beside me.
-"nice to meet you, Emma right? I'm George"
He says, sticking his hand out.
-"yep I'm Emma! Nice to meet you as well your playing... Ajax...correct?"
He smiles and nods.

-"correct, and you're Enid?"
I nod happily.

Jenna's pov:

I look over trying not to be obvious as I look at the boy next to Emma. He leans over, really close to her.
-"y'know our characters are supposed to end up dating, so hopefully we can get pretty close"
My jaw almost drops. Emma laughs a bit.
-"I really hope so too"
I turn to try and say something but Amanda beings speaking again.
-"first we're gonna do a dry read through of the ENTIRE first episode, no acting required, just read your lines. Next up will be a costume fitting for the school uniforms, Emma we'd also like to experiment some ideas for your makeup"
Emma nods.
-"we'll probably have lunch between costume fittings and then finally we will read through the script again, this time though you will actually be acting. We wanna see emotion, treat this like the real thing. Tim will also be observing and comment from time to time"

I've done this dozens of times and the only time I can ever really remember being nervous about my acting was when I was cast as Harley Diaz on stuck in the middle. Everyone seems pretty professional and not nervous either until my gaze returns to Emma. She's fiddling with her script and mumbling some stuff while clearly trying to focus her breathing.
-"hey Emma, are you ok..?"
I whisper, lightly tapping my finger on her script. She smiles.
-"no worries I'm fine, just last minute jitters. This is kinda surreal for me. Especially being cast AND being assigned to sit by you"
My eyes widen and my face begins to buzz and become hot. I hope I'm not becoming sick. I smile a bit.
-"is it really that big of a deal to be sitting by me?"
-"totally! Your Jenna freaking Ortega!...oh fuck I probably sound like I'm totally fan girling"
She says, cupping her face in her hands. I laugh a bit.

Emma's pov:

-"your fine Emma. Personally I don't see what the big deal is but I am excited to be sitting next to you as well, you were one of my favorite chemistry reads"
She says with a wink. My face turns red and my jaw almost drops.
-"ok everyone follow along, Jenna, page one, lines 1-21. This scene will only need Jenna, Tim, me, and Isaac"
Jenna begins reading but it's hard to follow along on my script. I just keep looking at her as the scene goes on.
