Maddie's pov:

We arrive at Jenna's apartment building and make our way to the 4th floor where her room is. Jenna tosses her bag onto the couch as we step in.
-"make yourself at home, would you like anything to drink or a snack?"
She asks, walking towards the kitchen as I make my way to the couch.
-"just juice if you have any"
I reply. She nods.
-"I'm gonna make popcorn too"
She calls out.
-"sounds good"
I reply with a slight laugh.

I didn't realize just how comfortable I could become with someone so quickly, it almost feels like we're old friends. Within a few minutes Jenna is in the living room holding a bowl of popcorn and handing me a cup of juice with a smile.
-"thanks"
-"no prob"
She replies, taking a seat next to me. I almost spit out my juice at the sudden contact of her soft skin brushing against my arm. I dunno why I was so startled but fuck that's embarrassing.
-"hehehe anyways we should probably get to discussing"
I say awkwardly. Jenna nods.

She opens up a draw on a stand near the couch and takes out her script.
-"Megan said we need to "define our relationship" what I got from the script we're not friends when we first interact we're just in the same grade. I also don't think you know of me. This is like our first ever interaction"
Jenna says, flipping to a part in the bathroom scene.
-"yeah but we both seem friendly so there's no way we're like complete strangers right?"
I reply.
-"I guess that is true, so there could be a chance we're friendly classmates but the scene seems too awkward for if we were classmates. I mean especially my character. She literally goes into the stall to text Nick about Mia"
I nod.
-"your right there is an awkwardness too it but we're not enemies from what I got?"

-"yeah I don't get that vibe either"
She agrees. Suddenly Jenna's expression changes and she closes the script.
-"did you get sent a thing asking if you'd be ok with a kissing scene?"
She asks. This question would be weird except I had received the message she mentioned.
-"I did. There was a consent form about a kiss scene and then a separate one for if I would kiss a- oh. Ohhhhhh"
-"yeah"
-"wait so you think-"
-"it wasn't written in the copy of the script I got but I did hear Megan and the producers mention something like that, do you think it pertains to our characters?"
She asks.

Jenna's pov:

-"yeah I'd assume so, did you sign off on it"
She asks.
-"yeahhh I don't really mind kiss scenes so I didn't think much of it when there was a section about kissing the same sex"
I reply anxiously. Maddie smiles and nods.
-"so uh did you?"
I ask. Oh god I hope that didn't sound creepy or hopeful.
-"I did, my mom advised it might be for the best and Abby always advised us that our employer is in the right"
Ah so she doesn't want to do the scene.
-"we can talk to Megan if your not comfortable with it, I'm sure it won't matter too much for the movie"

I suggest.
-"I don't...mind"
She says. Looking back into my eyes. I turn to look away, probably blushing now. Jeez Maddie chill it with the eye contact, I can't handle it with those blue eyes.
-"k! Sounds good!"
I say louder, and more awkwardly than I had hoped. I clear my throat.
-"ok so I think we figured out their relationship"
I say. Maddie nods.
-"but it seems like your character likes mine more, like before I start to like you"
I almost choke on my popcorn.

-"ya think so?"
I ask.
-"I do. Mia seems to be friendly in the bathroom scene but think about it, your the awkward one and then you go to text Nick about me plus-"
She takes the script from me and flips to a page.
-"you give me a compliment ish, about how I don't need makeup"
She says, pointing to a line. Well I'll be darned she's right.
-"ok so I have a crush on you and you don't got it"
I say. We talk a bit more and practice a couple lines so we can perfect our chemistry.
-"should we practice?"
Maddie asks.
-"we just did"
I reply, a bit confused.

-"I mean...y'know.... The kiss"
My face turns red. No WAY she just suggested that.
-"n-no cuz uh we don't even know what the scene is and there's probably a chance it won't even happen"
I reply quickly with an awkward laugh.
-"oh ok, then I think we're about done yeah?"
Wait what? Already? I want to tell her to stay here or at least throw the offer out but then remember this is only like our 3rd or 4th interaction.
-"yeah I guess so"

Not long after, Maddie leaves, waving as she enters her Uber.
