"Lan Zhan, are you stopping me?" Wei Wuxian asked, his heart sinking down.
"No, I am coming with you." Lan Wangji stated firmly. "We made the promise together so we will fulfil it together."
Lan Wangji's words rendered Wei Wuxian speechless. He just stared at Lan Wangji for a whole minute, his jaw hanging open and eyes blinking. He was dumbstruck.
"Wangji, you are not going anywhere." Lan Qiren intervened.
"Shufu, please. Do not stop me. I have lost Wei Ying once. I am not ready to lose him again."
"Wangji," It was Lan Xichen. His tone was pleading. "Listen to uncle. You are with a baby. Burial Mounds is not a place for you."
"It is not a place for Wei Ying, nor to the innocent Wen's. I will follow wherever Wei Ying goes." Lan Wangji was sure of it.
He knew what it was to be loving without Wei Wuxian. He knew how lonely he had felt without Wei Wuxian, his husband. He had experienced the misery of living without your loved ones. H knew, he had suffered and lived through it. And now, finally, he had got back the happiness that he dreamt all night and wanted all along. And he would never let go of it. Not again!
He was certain!
"A-Xian, please, reconsider your decision for Wangji. Do you want to drag him along with you?" Jiang Fengmian asked.
Wei Wuxian, who was still dazed from Lan Wangji's words, finally got back to himself.
With tear stained eyes and a trembling heart, he held Lan Wangji's hand. "Lan Zhan, this is my fight. Let me fight it alone."
"Wei Ying, there is no 'you' and 'I' between us. Its only 'us'. Your fight is my fight. Your decision is mine." Lan Wangji held back Wei Wuxian's hands.
"Lan Zhan, please, don't be stubborn."
"Wei Ying, I have never asked anything from you. But now, I am begging you, do not leave me alone.. Please..."
"You are pregnant, Burial Mounds is not-..." Wei Wuxian tried but Lan Wangji cut him midway.
"I am pregnant and I wish to spend my pregnancy period with you." Lan Wangji cut him off.
"Lan Zhan, please..."
"Wei Ying, I beg you not to 'please' me. I please you."
"Wangji!" Lan Qiren fumed.
"Shufu, I am sorry. I want to follow Wei Ying and be by his side."
"Lan Zhan, you cannot regret this later." Wei Wuxian reminded his husband.
"I won't." Lan Wangji assured him.
With that, they clasped their hands together, bowed one last time at the elders, turned around and off they went, with no regret as they had each other by their side which was enough for them to fight the world.
Wei Wuxian was a little dejected over not being able to bid a proper goodbye to his siblings but he knew if he did, they would not let him go.
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji walked down the mountain and glanced one last time back, before flying off.
Leaving the home behind the save the innocent!

Burial Mounds was situated deep inside Yiling's neighboring mountains.
Allegedly an old battlefield, the Burial Mounds was famed as a haven for walking corpses and vengeful ghosts. It resisted the Qishan Wen Clan's purification attempts multiple times, until they were forced to close it off.
Throughout the mountain, skeletal remains poked up from the soil from the sheer number of bodies buried here. Crude houses line the mountain, partially demolished and burned from the First Siege.
At the top of the mountain was a cave with a mouth fifty feet wide – the Demon Subduing Cave, in which Wei Wuxian was Wei Wuxian's living space. Inside the Demon Slaughtering Cave was a Blood Pool.
One of the most torturous periods of Wei WuXian's life had been spent in this place. He knew well beforehand that he would see these sights again upon returning to Burial Mound. There was no way around it. He was perfectly aware that there was no way to forget and no way to help, but he couldn't stop his eyes from sweeping around these couple of tree stumps.
He had been here several times but he could not help but glance at these two tree stumps again and again.
A cold breeze swept through the area, rustling the sea of trees. It sounded as if a thousand tiny voices were all whispering at once.
Wei Wuxian shivered. He grasped Lan Wangji's hand tightly and muttered,
"Lan Zhan, this is exactly where Wen Chao threw me."
Lan Wangji shuddered at Wei Wuxian's sudden revelation and held Wei Wuxian's hand tight.
"I struck my leg on this tree. I was scared Lan Zhan. I could hear many voices. I tried to run away but I couldn't. I was struck here for almost a day, Lan Zhan. And finally, I got my leg out."
"The scar around your knee?" Lan Wangji asked.
"Yeah."
"It's too deep. I noticed." Lan Wangji told.
"Not as deep as it is on my heart."
Wei Wuxian turned to meet Lan Wangji's eyes who was already staring back at him.
"I am sorry." Lan Wangji uttered.
"Thanks for coming with me, Lan Zhan. I won't feel lonely anymore." Wei Wuxian pressed Lan Wangji's hand.
"You refused to take me along earlier."Lan Wangji almost pouted.
"I was scared to bring you over."
"Are you not now?"
"No, I want to take you in now."
"Why?" Lan Wangji pressed.
"I want to show you all that I have been through these past three months. May be, sharing if with you might help me have some proper sleep."
"You can't sleep?" Lan Wangji's tone was filled with worry and concern.
"Not much. Nightmares." Wei Wuxian shuddered again.
"We will get over it, together."
"Thanks, Lan Zhan."
"Let's go in?"
"Mm. Let's go in."
