This was it. My old room. Third floor, end of the hall.

Once upon a time I loved this place. I loved the pack house in general and the surrounding woods and fields especially. It was amazing. The woods stretched on and on so it took a while to reach the fields and a lot of people didn't even bother to go as far out. The yard itself was massive but because everyone was too lazy to run all the way out to the fields the yard was never quiet.

That's why I went all the way out. All I had to do was dodge the patrol, which when your dad is the beta is pretty easy, and then run. Most of the time the fields would be empty and I'd be free to run. It was my first taste of what freedom could be. To live without control or restraint. To not have someone telling you where to go, what to do, who to be . Many of my happiest memories whilst I belonged to a pack happened in those fields.

Although, the fields weren't entirely our land. It was neutral territory for any disputes or meetings of alphas who weren't on good terms with one another. I'm not sure if that's still the case but from the sounds of it, I'll be here long enough to find out. It was where I met Cam almost two years ago. Speaking of...

Cameron, please get me out of here, I thought to myself. I seriously will not survive if I have to put up with Mr possessive for too much longer.

Okay. I took a deep breath, still staring at the boring woodwork. Let's do this.

I wrapped my hand around the door handle and pushed it down before it smoothly glided open.

Before me was my bedroom. Or at least it used to be. Everything had changed.

Someone had definitely painted it, I could tell the second I walked in. There used to be loads of writing on the purple paint of the walls, lyrics and quotes  that had that 'fake deep' vibe, with the odd patch of graffiti and posters plastered everywhere, but I could see the posters had been rolled up and put in a box next to the queen size bed, and the walls had become a bland gray in my absence.

The pillows on my beloved window seat had been changed from dark purple to a light green and there was a thin layer of dust on my old make up table where a small mirror and jewelry box sat, neither of which I recalled as mine. Light still flooded in the room and reflected off of my full length mirror which stood by the wall.

The door closest to the window was my bathroom but I didn't look as far.

The door to my walk in closet was wide open and the light was shining out. Someone was in my room, and despite it no longer being my room per se, I still felt oddly protective.

I quickly marched over to the closet. A brunette girl was crouched down on the floor behind another box of my things, pointless trinkets by the looks of it, as she rummaged through what was turning into a messy heap of footwear. With a 'het-hem' cough I managed to get her attention.

"Can I help you?" I asked with fake friendliness.

"Lex!" She screamed jumping up and running at me. Seconds later she was squeezing me tighter than a snake would its prey. My eyes were bulging out of my body ready to pop, whilst I was stuck there suffocating, slowly losing the ability to breathe.  "Oh my god, you look so different!" she screamed releasing me. I gasped in as much air as my lungs would allow and desperately needed, while the crazy teen continued with something that can't be described as anything other than a breakdown. "Have you gotten taller? Of course you have it has been two years, and oh my god your figure!"

Sensing the odds of her insanity coming to an end any time soon were excruciatingly low I decided to take the matters of stopping her babbling into my own hands. "If you're done assassinating my ears," I had to yell in order to be heard above the high pitched screeching but thankfully my voice silenced her. "Now tell me who you are and what on earth you're doing with my things?" Thankfully now I could speak at a reasonable volume. She smiled even wider than she had been. Who was this crazy woman, other than someone who belonged in a straight jacket?
