So....

There are rogues along the border. No one knows who they are or what they want. Whatever they want has to be important for so many rogues to team up. They are only attacking this pack. It's not the biggest pack, nor is it the wealthiest. It may a young pack, possibly the youngest in the country.

That fact could use some more looking into.

With a sigh I grabbed another scrap of paper. I had to add another piece to my wall of information and hunches.

I had a wall coated in sheets of paper, sticky notes and tape. A majority of the past two days had been spent working on figuring out the answers that I craved so desperately. It was maddening.

As I went to fetch my pen I couldn't, for the life of me, find it.

Damn it, I was on a roll. Before I had the opportunity to forget I began searching for my pen, which I stole from Hunters study but he hasn't said anything about it yet so I'm certainly not going to tell him.

I scrambled around the surfaces of the room and nothing. Dropping to my knees I pressed my cheek to the floor so I could see under my bed. As my eyes were scanning the carpet I heard someone's footsteps.

They spoke before I had the chance to stand up. "Ladylike."

"Leon, help." I grumbled. As I said it I noticed how helpless I sounded. I straightened so I was on my knees still but with my back straightened up. It felt a lot more comfortable to be honest. "I lost my stupid pen."

"You mean your hair accessory?" I looked at him as though it wasn't possible for him to be even further off his rocker.

Leon leaned forward and plucked the pen from the hair that pulled into a ponytail. I reached for it but Leon moved it behind his back.

"Give it!" I commanded. Leon shook his head. "Leon, it's important."

Leon roller his eyes but he kept my pen in his hand. I went to weave around him but he followed my action, staying face to face at all times. I gave him a pointed look but he made no move to give me what I asked for.

I knew what he wanted. It was even more obvious when he tapped his cheek. I strutted over to my wall and flicked out my claws before carving my note into the wall.

What should I care? It may currently be my room but it is no longer my home.

"How bad is my breath?"

"I like you Leon but get in my way again and my claws won't be going for the wall."

"I know the feeling you mean all too well."

I laughed. I wasn't really threatening Leon. Sure I might attack him at one point but currently I am not planning on slaughtering him which is always a good sign. I guess.

"What is this? Wikipedia?" Leon asked. He reached for a piece of paper and I slapped his hands away. I felt oddly protective over my work. After spending several hours on it my feelings weren't surprising.

"I need to know who they are."

"Why?"

I turned to him, my face grim. It was silly really. I had this feeling, a bad feeling.

I bit my lip almost instinctively we I began wondering whether to tell him or not. Leon and I may not have been friends from the get go but I trusted him. I'm quite clearly suffering from insanity.

"When I think about it I get this gut feeling and then, suddenly, I feel sick to my stomach. A part of me just knows it's something to do with them." Leon's tender gaze landed on me and his arms engulfed me in his embrace. "I can barely sleep, Leon. It's consuming me but I can't stop." I felt weak from all the disappointment in myself.
