Future From Me

Chapter 19

Flirt Due To Fear

"My mouth was loose, my flirting skill reckless,

Similar to the love that required more emotion than reason."

- Baicha's Quote -

CH@rL!e: I feel miserable.

I was so anxious because I had no idea what to do. So I decided to consult with my future self, and luckily he had time today.

Future Me: Why miserable? P'Newt doesn't love you anymore?

CH@rL!e: Noooo. Don't put a curse on me. I have enough.

Future Me: Then, what's wrong?

CH@rL!e: What else if it isn't about the Moon contest? I was nominated and I don't wanna be humiliated on stage, but I don't know what to perform. The worst part is, P'Newt would be hosting the event!

Future Me: That's all? You will get through it.

CH@rL!e: Hey! Why are you taking it so lightly?

Future Me: Because there is nothing to worry about.

CH@rL!e: Nothing my a**! I'm crazy worried now! What did you perform at that time? Did you humiliate yourself?

However, my future self was silent for a while before he replied.

Future Me: Why don't you perform something you're good at?

CH@rL!e: Something I'm good at? Do I have any?

Future Me: Wait. You don't know yourself? You're good at baking.

I was lost in my thoughts. I was reminded of that memory again. I once baked a cake for Namwan when I was in middle school, and it left such a dark mark in my life. After that, I never baked again, and never planned to ever do it either.

CH@rL!e: I used to do it just once, and I haven't done it in a long time.

Future Me: You can practise again.

CH@rL!e: But I have such a bad memory with baking, you know what it is.

Future Me: I think it should be a good memory instead.

CH@rL!e: What? How can it be?

Future Me: Because the one who took your cake wasn't Namwan, but P'Newt whom you like, wasn't it?

That was right. I froze for a while. I should be happy since I liked P'Newt now and that time the cake I gave ended up in P'Newt's hands.

I reconsidered it. Baking seemed to be a good idea, but there was a problem.

CH@rL!e: Baking takes a lot of time, but we only have ten minutes for the show.

My future self seemed to realise this problem as well.

Future Me: How about cooking something easy that can be done in 10 minutes?

Future Me: We have our uncle who owns a Chinese restaurant. That restaurant is always busy, but every dish is served within minutes. Why don't you consult him?

It was a good idea. My uncle was a master chef. He owned a popular restaurant that was always crowded with customers, but he could deliver all those appetising dishes in a professional and quick manner.
