Destiny: House Of One

Prologue

Y/n was there before and after the Red War, He remembered a peaceful life after killing Oryx, The Taken King. He would run around the tower and occasionally join his fireteam in the prison of elders with his red death pulse rifle, and using the powers of the void.

But that changed one day, the Red War changed Y/n, after his first encounter with Ghaul, he lost his light and everything else that he cherished. Unable to contact his old firesquad and left lightless for a time, he wandered the planet until entering the EDZ, where a shard of the traveler had broken off, he was attracted to it like a moth to a flame, fighting his way through fallen just to get to it, he nearly died several times until reaching the shard, where after touching it he would awaken new powers of the light he hadn't seen before.

After that he trekked the EDZ and other planets fighting the red war with his newfound light powers, coming out the other side a war hero after defeating Ghaul by with the help of the reassembled vanguard and destroying the cage around the traveler.

The light came back, he was able to contact his previous fireteam, or he had at least hoped so. Y/n attempted to contact his fireteam, but after weeks no responses came through, and no one from his fireteam had came back, so he set out on a journey to find them, and find them he did.

While searching the city below the previous tower he found them both. They laid on top of a pile of dead guardians, with deep cuts and whole slug rounds piercing into each and everyone of them.

Y/n went looking for their ghosts, he found them smashed, crushed on the ground a block away from the pile of deceased guardians. Old boot marks from the cabal who had smashed them lining the area around the shattered ghosts. He scavenged his friends ghosts as smashed as they were and had the same shells from before the war placed on them, they stay in his living quarters on his ship as a reminder old fireteam and the familial bond they shared.

With the authority from the vanguard in the new tower, Y/n was able to start an operation that called apaun guardians to find crushed ghosts and the guardians they were bonded with, this was named operation New Light.

It wasn't long though before fallen had started to enter the city, a new house had formed, the house of dusk. Fallen from this new house started to scavenge throughout the city, stealing broken ghosts and selling them to the spider from the house of spider for a profit.

Spider had become one the vanguards most wanted, but being the Eliksni he was, he stayed discreet in his dealings with the house of dusk.

That was until Cayde-6 was killed during the breakout at the prison of elders by Uldren Sov and the Scorn Barons, Y/n was in charge of the funeral and burial of the early cayde-6, he wasn't Friends with the vanguard, only really getting to know Ikora and Zavala during preparation of the funeral and after the burial, where he received a heafty glimmer donation for the slowly dying operation new light, as people somehow seem to forget the red war that had happened only years earlier and that bodies of dead fireteams and other guardians still litter earth and other colonies throughout the solar system.

But even with the donations from the vanguard the operation goes over budget within a few months and goes belly up, relying now on volunteer work from anyone who would help, but less guardians came to help, leaving lightless civilians open to be attacked by any fallen who would come by and plunder any dead ghosts they had found.

Y/n needing the money for guardian protection for the volunteers had started to participate in the crucible, hoping to achieve glory with personal training by lord Shaxx and some close combat skills from Amanda holiday.

Only problem was Y/n needed a new fireteam. While steadfast and loyal to the memories of his previous fireteam, he could only participate in the crucible if he had two others with him.
