Renesmee's POV
It's been a week and a half since my latest run in with Jake. And I haven't left my room since, I'm not sure why. I mean I don't think I'm depressed or anything. There wasn't anything nasty or vicious about our little chat. I just feel tired, after the first two days my parents were worried. But they don't know exactly what to do. So they just keep checking in on me and asking if I need anything. I did ask for a TV for my room which they were happy to give me.
So I spend most of my time watching TV, listening to music or sleeping. I stay in my room unless I have to pee, or eat. I stuck to my diet of blood which wasn't ideal. After I acquired a taste for human food I prefer it to blood, mostly because it tastes better. But heating up a blood bag takes less time than cooking something. So blood bags it is.
It's Wednesday and I'm well into my second week of sulking. Then I smell it my second favorite pasta dish (I have a deep love for pasta, cheese and Italian food). Lobster macaroni and cheese, it smells heavenly, it smells good enough that I drag myself out of bed. I decide to change because I've been wearing the same outfit for days. I change into a fresh pair of sweats and a grey long sleeve shirt.
I run a comb and brush through my hair and follow the intoxicating smell. Daddy's about to scoop some of the delicious pasta into a bowl. Before he can grab one, I swipe a fork from the drawer and start eating it right out of the dish.
"Smells good" I said
"You were right it looks like the self-induced seclusion hasn't ruined her appetite" Mom said to daddy, like I'm not here.
"Ha-ha" I said making them both laugh it's a relieved type of laugh. "This is really good" I said in between bites.
"We figured it was the only way to get you out of your room" Daddy said shamelessly
"So you decided to bribe me?" I said still stuffing my mouth with the gooey lobster mac & cheese.
"Mmmm" I moan appreciatively. Mom places a medium bowl of salad next to me. It has Italian dressing on it, I also notice some fresh made rolls with mozzarella cheese on top of them.
"Wow, you guys went all out" I said dipping my fork into the salad and taking a roll.
"Well we know you like real food better than blood bags. You've only been drinking those because-"
"You're depressed" Daddy said cutting mom off.
"Edward!" Mom said scolding him
I stop my fork mid bite and put it down "you guys think I'm depressed?" I ask. They both look a little scared and lost.
"Well I'm not" I said going back to my lunch. Or dinner I guess looking out the window, huh it's 7:30pm. I guess I can see why they think I'm depressed. I'm not even keeping track of time.
"Are you sure sweetie it's... okay if you are. I completely understand" Mom said her face twisting at some dark memory.
Daddy catches a glimpse of her face and pain ripples across his face. The little exchange is strange. Before I can ask them about it someone knocks on the door and daddy goes to answer it. Stephanie barges in followed by Seth and Daddy.
"Well it's nice to know that you're alive! Hi Mrs. Cullen" Steph said agitated.
"Hi Stephanie" Mom said
"Hey" I said in between bites of a roll.
"Hey? Is that all you have to say?! I've been calling you for days!" she practically yells.
"I turned my phone off" I explain as Seth gives me a one arm hug.
"Oh yea that excuses everything" she said simmering down, she sighs and looks at my parents.
