Renesmee's POV
After I finish crying I take a long hot shower. Blow-dried my hair which is really long now. Despite what mom, Alice and Rose want I might have to cut it soon, but there's been enough change and heartbreak for one day. I brush my hair and put it in a ponytail, change into my favorite shirt and some sweat pants. Then I follow my nose to the kitchen where daddy's made my favorite food, mushroom ravioli.
"I thought you'd want some comfort food" he says putting a bowl in front of me as I sit down.
"Thanks" I said picking up my fork and digging in. When I'm on my second bowl Stef barges in
"Why didn't you call me?" she said sitting next to me.
I give her a slightly confused look "Seth and I had a date but he had to cancel, because your mom and aunts are going postal down at the res looking for Jacob" she explains.
"Oh that" I said focusing back on my dinner
"Oh that" she said rolling her eyes. "I love how dismissive you are about this" she said. She's trying to gauge my reaction.
"I'm...okay I think. I almost feel...relieved?" I try to explain.
"Really?" she said as daddy gives her a bowl of ravioli, which she digs into almost immediately.
"Yea I mean I'm sad but... I can't explain it" I said
"My mom's a little baffled too considering that Jake imprinted on you" she said wiping her mouth. I haven't really thought about that
"I almost forgot about the whole imprinting thing" I said. "So what exactly are my mom and Aunt's doing down at the res?" I ask as daddy gives me my third bowl.
"Well your mom seems to have her heart set on killing Jacob" she says Jake's name like it tastes bad in her mouth. "Rose is intent on finding out who the other girl is-" my body tenses for a minute at the mention of the other girl. "And so far Alice is just trying to keep them calm" she said finishing her food.
"Who is the other girl?" Daddy asks I look at him almost surprised
"Her name is Naomi she's Sue's best friend's daughter, they came in for the wedding" she explains.
An image of her flashes in my mind, I remembered meeting her. She has short layered light brown hair, brown eyes, and full pouty lips. I guess Jake could do worse, I see the scolding look daddy gives me as he reads my thoughts.
"What?" Stef asks him
"Renesmee was just thinking that Naomi is prettier than her" he said.
"You're paraphrasing that's not exactly what I was thinking" I said a little annoyed
"Good because she's not" Stef said
"How come you're so calm about this? I mean I thought you'd be tearing Jake a new one" I said finally full.
"Bella kind of stole my thunder, plus she has more right to be mad at him than I do" she said.
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Well I mean first Jake was her best friend, and supposedly he was in love with her. Then he imprints on her daughter and then cheats on you. I can't imagine the tidal wave of emotions she's going through right now" she explains. Daddy and I both register what Stef's just said, I can tell that he wants to go look for her.
"Go we'll be fine" I tell him
"Are you sure?" he asks.
"Yea I've got Stef to keep me company, you should go find mom" I tell him. He nods and kisses me on the forehead as he leaves.
