Renesmee's POV
When I wake up sun light is streaming through the window. I still feel really good after last night, and I feel even better that Alec is holding me. Which is nice and it feels even nicer that he's running his fingers through my hair. But I know we need to talk. However, I want to marinate in this feeling for a little while longer. Then my cell rings ruining everything.
"Do you want to get that?" Alec asks
"No"
"But...um it's your dad" he said nervously.
I sigh "how many times has he called?"
"Twenty" he tells me, I sigh frustrated. Alec hands me the phone before I can reach for it.
"Daddy I'm fine" I answer snuggling closer to Alec, he tightens his arm around me.
"Where have you been!? It's two o'clock in the afternoon!" I look at Alec for confirmation, he nods.
"I'm fine daddy, I was tired and I asked Alec if I could stay at his place" I tell him.
"You're safe?"
"Yes I promise I'm sorry that I forgot to call. But I'll be home soon, okay" I said hoping that he won't come looking for me.
"Alright" he says after a while "call next time you know how much I worry about you" he says.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to worry you. I'll see you soon, okay"
"Alright" he says
After I hang up I sit up and look at Alec, who bites his lip when he looks at me. When I realize why I cover myself back up.
"So...last night was fun" I said making him laugh.
"Fun doesn't even begin cover it but...yes last night was amazing" he said. He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear, it's an innocent gesture but it sends that electric shock through me. I feel hyper aware of him and of myself, it feels good. I don't want to leave.
"Will you be my date to grandpa's wedding?" I ask surprising both of us.
"I'd love to" he said smiling and cupping my cheek, I smile and lean into his touch. I sigh sadly.
"I guess I should get ready to go" I said wrapping the blanket around me. I kiss Alec before searching for my clothes. While I hunt for my clothes I can feel Alec watching me and it makes me blush.
"What?" I ask
"Nothing I'm just...really happy to have this time with you" he said slowly.
I let his words sink in "you think I'll got back to Jake? Even after last night?" I ask in disbelief.
"Are you mad at me?" he asks honestly. I forget how new some of this is to him.
"A little, I mean why would I have- is that what you think of me? That I'd just-murmph" he cuts me off by kissing me. Obviously using his vampire speed, after we break the kiss I notice that he's wearing pants.
"I didn't mean to offend you...it's just he was you're first-"
"So what!" I snap cutting him off.
"You know not every girl, or guy for that matter, stays with their first..."
"Love?" he finishes for me.
I sigh frustrated "okay so Jake was the first guy I...felt in love with" Alec smiles at me clearly amused. And it makes me frown with frustration.
"You look really cute when you do that" he said pulling me in for a hug.
It's kind of strange we fit perfectly together almost like... "you were made for each other?" Isabelle's voice teases, I sigh annoyed.
