Alec's POV
Renesmee screamed one more time before passing out. And she looks so...dead just like when Isabelle...no I can't think about that. She's not gonna die. Ella leaves the room and comes back with a huge book.
"Mom what do we do?" Stephanie asks
"We have to figure out what's happening" Ella said flipping through pages in her book
"You don't know?!" I said
"It's not a physical spell I think it's more of a mental thing"
"What do you mean? She's burning up and her nose is bleeding. How is that not physical?" Stephanie asks
"If it was physical I would've been able to find a mark on her somewhere but I can't. Which means it's mental. Someone's in her head"
"Well it isn't me" Isabelle said surprising all of us
"Stay away from her!" Stephanie said standing in front of Renesmee and I
"I'm not here to hurt her, I actually wasn't plaining on showing up until the wedding" Isabelle said
"Why the wedding?" Ella asks
"Everybody would've been distracted best time to grab her" Isabella said shrugging
"Is that supposed to make us trust you?" I ask
"Look the bottom line here is that we both want her to live. And right now she's dying, just let me help" Isabelle said
"On one condition" I said
"Okay"
"You break the whole mind tap thing that you have on her."
"Fine" Isabelle said after a few minutes
"Call Edward and Bella let them know what's happening" I said to Ella who nods and leaves "Tell us what to do"
"Get her dried off then met me in the kitchen" Isabelle said leaving
Stephanie and I get Renesmee out of the tub and to the bed room. I let Stephanie take care of getting her dried off and into clean dry clothes. When she's done she calls me into the room and I carry Renesmee downstairs. When we get downstairs I lay Renesmee down on the couch. I can smell the potion that Isabelle is cooking up in the kitchen.
"I'm gonna go check on Isabelle" Stephanie said going into the kitchen
As soon as she leaves Renesmee sits up and starts coughing. She coughs up alarming amount of blood before laying back down.
"We're running out of time!!" I yell
Isabelle runs into the room and hands me a glass. Then she wraps what looks like a dried vine around my arm and Renesmee's tying them together.
"Long story short you're gonna have to drink this and...well go inside her head. She's in a trance and you have to pull her out of it" Isabelle said quickly explaining
"Alright" I said
"If you can't pull her out-"
"I know" I said drinking all of the potion. It only takes a few seconds for the potion to take affect and I feel like I'm falling into a pool of white light.
When I open my eyes again I'm an old abandoned building. I look around in each room for Renesmee. Then I hear her she's talking to a women. I run towards where I can hear the voices.
"Please don't do this" Renesmee begs
"I don't want to-"
"Then don't" I said cutting the women off and stepping into the room. Renesmee is strapped down to a table.
"Alec?" Renesmee said surprised
"How did you...it was the girl Isabelle wasn't it?" the women asks
"Yes, please don't hurt her" I said slowly walking closer to them
"That's close enough" the women said
"Who are you and why are you doing this?" I ask
"My name is Francesca, and like I said I don't want to hurt her. But I can't let Sebastien get even a drop of her blood" Francesca said
"Wh-Who's Sebastien?" Renesmee asks
"Someone you don't want to meet believe me" she said
"That's who Isabelle's working for. Stephanie always suspected she was working for someone. You don't have to hurt her we'll keep her away from him. We won't let him get to her, I promise" I plead
"He's persistent the only way to make sure is to eliminate the problem" she said walking towards Renesmee with a strange looking needle
"Please you don't have to do this" Renesmee said starting to cry
I luge at Francesca crushing the device and tossing her away. As quickly as I can I untie Renesmee.
"This isn't real you have to snap out of it" I said helping her off the table
"I don't know how...maybe you should hit me pain usually works right? To wake people from dreams" she said
"We both know I'm not going to hit you" I said trying not to roll my eyes at her. Then I think of something else. Before I can think too much about it I kiss her. She gasps and wraps her arms around my neck. Then she's gone.
"You can't protect her forever. Sebastien will come for her and unlike me he will destroy this entire town to get to her. Then you'll wish you would of listened to me"
"You're not gonna stop trying to kill her are you?" I ask
"No...it's for the best" she said as the building starts to shake "but it looks like you've won this round"
The building starts to collapse and I fall into that white pool of light again.
When I open my eyes I'm back at Stephanie's house I look to the couch and Stephanie is already helping Renesmee. I sigh relived that she's okay, then I glare at Isabelle.
"You have some explaining to do" I growl at her
"Who was it trying to kill her?" Isabelle asks
"Francesca" Renesmee said
Isabelle sighs sounding irritated "I knew it"
"Well would someone like to fill us in?" Bella said making us all look up. She and Edward glare at Isabelle
"Would someone like to tell us what's going on?" Edward said with an eerie calm in his voice
"What is she doing here?" Bella demands
"She was here to help" I said
"For her own nefarious purposes of course, but yea she helped" Stephanie said
"Why?" Edward asks
"Because believe me Francesca is a problem for all of us" Isabelle said
"Enough games! Isabelle tell us everything you know about Francesca and Sebastien before Edward and I rip you stupid little head off" Stephanie said
