Month 14:

Dear Harry,

Wow, things with Mum and Dad are really shaky lately. They've been argueing a lot and I keep asking them to stop since the girls are still here. The three of us are half tempted to leave and go to Aunt Laura's house.

I've almost saved up enough money to go back to Cheshire! I just need about a thousand more and I should be good. That should be easy to make with work still giving me money even over summer. Maybe about a few more months!

Well, there go Mum and Dad fighting again. I'll have to cut this one short. I miss you.

"No, Ryan, you are making me unhappy with this relationship. You are never home when you say you will be, and when I call you, you are always at the bar." Mum yelled at Dad.

I sat in Hailey's room with Ceecee and Hailey. This seemed to be an everynight thing with Mum and Dad now. I goty up off the bed and walked to the door.

"No, Addie, don't. You'll just make it worse. You remember the other night." Ceecee tried to stop me but she couldn't convince me. I stormed out of the room and down the stairs with the girls hot on my trail.

I walked into the living room where the fighting was coming from.

"Would the two of you shut up!" I yelled out. "I'm tired of your fighting. You are fighting over the most stupid shit! I'm tired of you two constantly yelling while I have friends living here over the summer. It's like you two don't have any respect for anyone."

Everyone stood there, speechless at my anger.

"Dad, stop telling Mum that you are going to be home at a certain time, and then deciding to go to the bar. And stop hooking up with random chicks from the bar too. Yes, I know about your little hook-up's when Mum works the night shift at the hospital." Dad just stood there. He hung his head in shame. "And Mum, I hate to say this, but if you are so unhappy with yours and Dad's relationship, then end it, like you said you would last night. And if you be a bitch about the whole thing and Dad, if you be a douche about the divorce, I'm gonna completely leave both of your lives."

"Addie, don't say that." Mum quietly said back.

"No, it's true. If you are going to overreact over the divorce, if you choose to get one, I'm leaving both of you. I'm gonna move back to Cheshire." I couldn't control my mouth by this point. "You know what. Moving back to Cheshire was my whole plan ever since we moved here. Yeah, I've been saving up for 14 months now. I hate it here." I turned to Ceecee and Hailey, "Yeah, I've made the most perfect friends, who understand everything I go through, but I hate it here. I just want to go back home."

"Addison, you are home. This is our new home. It has been for 14 months now. Just stop. You're not going to move back to Cheshire. I'm not going to allow that." Dad finally spoke up.

"No Dad, I'm 19. I could have refused about living here last year, but I didn't have the money to move back. But now that I'm just about a thousand dollars short, and I'm gonna end up making that amount of money within the next 2 months, I'm finally going home. To my real home." I started to walk out of the living room when i heard Dad yell back at me.

"Addison Rose Phelps-Embry you do not talk to your fucking father that way. Dammit, get back in here and respect me like you should. And you said me and your mother don't know respect."

"No Ryan. I'm not even going to call you Dad. I'm not going to talk to you with respect if you aren't going to talk to me with respect. I fucking hate how you are acting about this. I'm packing my things tonight and you won't have to worry about anyone disrespecting you anymore. You know why? Because I'm leaving your life forever. I'm tired of your bullshit."

I turned on my heels and walked up the stairs. Ceecee and Hailey were right behind me, trying to calm me down.

I walked into my room and pulled the drawer out of my dresser and started packing my bags to leave. By this time, I hadn't noticed, but I was completely sobbing. Ceecee walked over to me and hugged me. That was really all I needed right now. I sat there sobbing to her and Hailey, when I heard a faint knock on my bedroom door. I got up and walked to the door. The knocking started again. I slightly opened the door to my Mum. I could tell she was crying. She pushed the door open more and hugged me.

We cried to each other for a while. Until Mum broke the silence, "Addison, you Dad and I are getting a divorce. He left for the night. After you three walked upstairs, he told me he was going tomorrow to get the divorce papers, and then he stormed out of the house. I'm so sorry that we did this to you." She looked over my shoulder "I'm so sorry that you two had to witness our fights and especially our fight tonight."

The girls just nodded taking my Mum's apologies. "Addison, are you still leaving tonight?" Mum desperately asked. I shook my head 'no'. "But don't think that we are staying here the rest of the summer. Hailey called Jazmyne's Aunt Laura and we are going to stay with them the remainder of the break. We are leaving tomorrow though." Mum just nodded her head understanding that I didn't want to stay in the house.

Mum hugged me goodnight and walked across the hallway to her room. I walked back to my bed and finished packing my clothes. Hailey and Ceecee went to their rooms and packed their things too. I changed into my pajamas and slid under the blankets on my bed.

It was currently 5 in the morning. I couldn't sleep at all. I was still wide awake thinking about everything that happened tonight.

I heard someone walking around outside the door. I then heard two voices, knowing that it was Ceecee and Hailey.

"I wouldn't go in there. What of she's sleeping." Hailey told Ceecee.

I walked over to my door as they quietly argued about whether they should come in my room or not. I opened the door and quietly whispered, "You should come in, she hasn't been able to fall asleep yet."

They awkwardly smiled at me, knowing that thye had been caught, when they didn't want to be.

"Guys, can we leave now. I don't want to be here. I can't sleep knowing that just hours ago my parents declared they are getting a divorce, in this house."

They nodded before going into their rooms to get their bags. I handed them mine and asked them to take it out to the car. I walked into the kitchen and found a pen and paper. I began to write my Mum a note.

Mum,

Don't worry. We are fine. We just left really early this morning, because I couldn't sleep in this house. I will always love you, you know that. Don't worry, I won't leave you like Dad did. I will call you in the morning when I wake up.

I love you Mum.

I walked up the strairs and left the note on Mum's bed side table. I gave her a kiss on her forehead, and walked out to the car.

I started the car and left the house to go to Aunt Laura's house.

A/N:

Wow, this legit took me about an hour to write. I should write more when I'm upset. But anyway, what do you think is going to happen? I have a plot twist up my sleeve.
