"Thank you for the ride" lexy said to the Uber driver as she reached behind him and grabbed her duffle bag.
"No problem ma'am, have a nice day"
"You too" she smiled, as she closed the car door and looked around to see if her parents cars were parked on the street.
She wasn't in the mood to explain how her trip went or to make up lies to hide the fact that she was with sdot [especially not after a 6 hour flight] so when she didn't see both cars, she took a sigh of relief.
She swung her duffle bag over her shoulder and headed into the apartment building. Although she now lives with her grandma she still gets mail sent to her parents house, so she decided to stop by the mailboxes before heading upstairs.
"Excuse me" she said to a group of boys standing in the way.
"My bad ma" one of the boys said as they all moved out the way so she could get through.
" sooo you gone act like you don't see me ugly?" a familiar voice said from the opposite side of the room.
She already knew who was it was just by the nickname "ugly", so she didn't turn around and instead closed the mailbox and walked away.
"Mommy!" Amoura yelled, to get lexys attention.
"Amoura?" She questioned as she turned around and saw Jo holding her.
"Yeah see you tried ignoring me but you really was ignoring your daughter. Shame on you Alexis" kay jokingly said while shaking his head.

"Shut up Kevin, you always have some slick shit to say!" Lexy said as she took amoura from jo and gave her a hug.
"Anyway Jo, how are you doing?"
"I'm good, I'm good, just been trying to spend some time with my niece. I thought you was staying in California for the rest of the week tho, why you back so early?"
"How'd you know that I was even in California?" she questioned as she looked over at kay.
Kay looked away and tried acting as if he was talking to one of the boys from across the room, which made jo laugh.
