Lexy sat in the driver's seat of her car and leaned her head back on the headrest as tears flew out the corners of her eyes. Instead of wiping them, she continued to let them flow down the sides of her cheeks as she watched raindrops hit the front windshield and people rush inside their homes to avoid the downpour.
She was unsure of what she was going to do about Quan taking RJ but knew something had to be done before she headed back to her grandma's house in the next few days.
She thought about making an Instagram post asking if anyone knew Quan's whereabouts, but she didn't want to draw attention to herself or the situation. She also didn't want her parents to find out that Quan took RJ without her permission because of the backlash she would receive and the fear that they would somehow find out about her flying to LA with Shadon.
The only thing she could do was go back to her grandma's house and pretend as if everything was normal.
If anyone asks about RJ, she will just have to tell them that Quan is keeping him for a while... a while possibly meaning forever.

As she continued weighing out her options, her phone began vibrating in her lap, which made her quickly reach for it with the hopes of it being Quan.
She took a deep breath in and exhaled out before checking the name on the caller id. Unfortanetly it was just Shadon.
Instead of answering the call, she threw her phone into the passenger seat and put the car in drive. Any other time, she would be happy to talk to him, but right now she couldn't even say a word without crying let alone having a full conversation with him. She just wanted to go home and curl into a ball until she got enough strength to come out and tell everyone about RJ's absence.
