Rokuta laughed brightly as Tanjiro chased him around. They were playing tag. The kind of tag where when you get caught you'll be out. Hanako, Shigeru and Takeo were already out and Rokuta was left. Nezuko was helping Kie pack up their camp. They couldn't stay in one place longer than a night or two.
"Got you!" Tanjiro laughed as he finally caught Rokuta. Rokuta giggled.
"Nii-chan caught me!"
"I did. And now I'll EAT YOU!" Tanjiro pretended to take a bite out of Rokuta's shoulder and Rokuta let out a sound that was a mix between a bright laugh and a suprised yelp.
"We're done. Let's go." Kie informed.
The whole family picked up something to carry, exept Rokuta, he was the one being carried. The family walked in silence as they listened to the sounds around them. Then Hanako broke the silence.
"Will we ever go back to living normally? Will we ever go back home?"
Kie stayed quiet for a while before deciding she'd answer. "I don't know dear. We'll have to hope someone gets rid of him somehow."
Hanako nodded.
Right now, they were powerless. Like weak little animals. They needed to run and hide. Only when the threat is gone, only then they'll be able to return.
