"Gabriel Reid Ravenstahl, get your butt down here right this minute!" Mattie yelled as she held a very colorful rabbit in her hands.
"Yes, Mama?" he came running into the room, then froze when he saw the rabbit. His eyes went wide and he tried to take a step back when Raven came up behind him.
"Would you care to explain how your sister's bunny got paint on it, young man?" she demanded.
"Um, she said she wanted a tie-dye bunny so I thought I would help," he tugged at his shirt. His chubby little cheeks streaked with remnants of the paint he'd used.
"Reid," Mattie sighed. "Baby, you can't put paint on animals, and next time, tell me or one of your Daddies before you play with paint."
Raven lifted him up in one arm and took the scared little bunny in the other, "Come son, we'll clean Sophia's bunny."
"Papa she really did say she wanted a tie-dye bunny," Reid pouted.
"How about we clean Scampers then go buy a stuffed rabbit that's tie-dye for her," he suggested as he laughed.
"Oh, yeah, that would work," the three-year-old grinned.
I laughed as Mattie rolled her eyes and groaned. She put her hand on her back and winced. "Here beautiful, let me help," I said and eased her down to the couch, rubbing the small of her back gently. "How are my little soccer players doing today," I laughed as she rubbed her belly. The babies were really active today, making her stomach bounce and move rapidly.
"Practicing for the world cup, I think," she grinned. "You better be ready, Daddy. I think these two are going to make Reid look like an angel."
I let out a loud laugh, "What did you expect from Raven's son, and then you had to name him after Gabe - that was like a double whammy of mischief, love."
She rolled her eyes, "Yeah, well you're the one who knocked me up with twins, mister!"
I pulled her back against me, kissing her neck as she moaned softly. "Yes, I did, and keep sassing like that and I'll do it again, baby." She playfully slapped my arm.
"What are we doing again?" Marc asked as he and Axel walked in.
"Getting our beautiful wife pregnant," I smirked.
"Oh, yeah, definitely doing that," Axel grinned and knelt down in front of her. He placed a kiss on her belly, "Hello little ones."
Marc leaned over and kissed her, "Hey Angel."
"Nova," she whispered as he deepened the kiss. He began moving lower, cupping her breasts as I kissed her neck. When Axel began to kiss her thighs she gripped his hair and moaned, "Axel."
"Hey, oh, and we're going outside to play, babygirl," Emilio said as he quickly covered Sophia's eyes and walked right back out the door he'd entered, calling over his shoulder, "There are doors and locks for a reason, loves!"
Mattie began giggling as we groaned, the moment being broken. Corey came in shaking his head, "What is Emilio rambling about?"
She really lost it at that point, falling back against me and laughing hysterically. Corey gave an even more confused look until I said, "The challenges of spontaneous make-out sessions and being parents."
"Oh..." he grinned, then shut and locked the door.
Author's Notes: Thank you for coming on this roller-coaster journey with me. As usual, it didn't go the way I originally planned, but that's okay.
Little Broken Bird will be published soon. It will include overlap events from Angel, but also POVs that weren't seen as well as the continuation of the relationship between Tori and the Blackbourne men.
