CHAPTER TEN

ANDREA
Andrea had finally decided to ask God for help in forgiving Nathan and her parents , and God had told her that each day she should start praying for those she called her enemies, she had prayed that God would grant them peace and joy , it had been ten days since she had started that journey and she actually felt lighter and more joyful, now she was going to take the next step which involved looking for where those who had offended her were staying now, she didn't know where to start from but she had asked God for wisdom on how to go about it.

She heard a knock on the door, could that be Alice. Alice had taken the children for shopping and had asked if Beatrice could join which of course Andrea didn't mind.
She walked to the door and peeped through the hole but she couldn't believe her eyes, maybe she was seeing wrongly, she opened her door to confirm.

"Nathan", she went closer and touched his shoulder and he was really real.

"Andrea....I wanted to tell you how sorry I am", he said going on his knees bending down with tears all over his face, she pulled him off the ground crying with him too, "Nathan...I should be the one kneeling down....Nathan we have a daughter..I am so sorry".

"I know...that's one of the reasons I came too".

"Really...how?".

"It's a long story but I hired a private investigator to find your address after finding out I have a daughter...where's she?".

"She's out with a friend....aren't you angry?".

"I was but it has subsided..God has helped me heal...and God causes everything to work together for our good...maybe I could have never been a good father to her at that time".
"Thank you Nathan", Andrea said hugging him.

"Mummy see.....", Beatrice said stopping at the sight of her mum and the stranger hugging her mum, Alice looked at them , she didn't know what to do, cause she was surprised as well.

Andrea parted from the stranger and in that moment Alice saw the resemblance between Beatrice and the man, this was definitely Beatrice's father.

"Beatrice I would like you meet someone", Andrea said going to hold her daughter's hand.
"Mummy...do you have a boyfriend now", Beatrice asked looking at the man cautiously.
Andrea laughed,"Beatrice this man here is your father".

Tears welled up in Beatrice's eyes, Nathan went to meet her squatting to her level, Andrea decided to take Alice inside to give them some privacy.
NATHAN
Nathan looked at the little girl in front of him, and was shocked at the resemblance between them.

"Why didn't you ever look for me?", Beatrice asked tearful.

"I never knew you existed ...I just found out recently".

"Really....mum tears up sometimes when I ask about you...you guys didn't end your relationship well?".

"It's a long story Beatrice ".

Beatrice nodded and moved forward to touch her father's hair.

"We have the same hair....I see where I got my hair from now", Nathan laughed at this.

"Would you be gone again".

"I might....but I would be more frequent in your lives now".

"Including my mum's life too".

Nathan was quiet at that one ,he knew what the little girl was asking for, he wasn't sure about that, he still didn't have those sort of feelings with Andrea and for his feelings with guys, they didn't feel as overwhelming as they used to be before, now he had come to realize a more powerful grace at work in his life that helped him deny ungodliness and say no to sin.

"It's okay if you don't know yet...but I am happy that you are here with me", Beatrice said smiling.

"Can I hug you daddy", at that his heart almost melted, he nodded and he felt his daughter's little hands surround his neck, tears ran down his face, he was so happy to finally be with his daughter.
