ANDREA
Andrea got out of the car that morning, opening the backseat where Beatrice was, Beatrice got out of the car with a joyful expression on her face. She was glad today was Sunday, it was good to be back in church again, she walked hand in hand with her daughter that morning, greeting a few people on the way. She took Beatrice to the children church dropping her off with her Sunday school teacher.

She turned around and made her way to the adults church, service started immediately she got there and she took a seat at the back of the church, she joined as the choir sang , their voices melodious, she was grateful to be here in church, the pastor later came to the pulpit and began to minister about a topic that she had always tossed away.

"So today, I would be talking about forgiveness, if you think about forgiveness from the standpoint of how the other person offended you, it would definitely be hard to forgive, but if you look at it from what Jesus Christ did for us, everything changes, the bible says that even while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, did we deserve his forgiveness ....definitely not.....would everyone accept what he did for them.....definitely not...but then he still choose to go the extra mile for us, you know one of what Jesus said while he lived on earth was if you love only those who love you, are you any different from the heathen....so now that we have received his love, he expects us to show it others...the question is are you willing to show the love of Christ to others?".

Andrea prayed for strength that Sunday morning to be able to forgive Nathan, to be able to forgive her parents too, who made her choose between being in relationship with them or having her baby, few tears ran down her face, she could only forgive by the help of the Lord and if she herself was willing to forgive them.
NATHAN
Nathan was happy at how his life was progressing, he was slowly realizing that being the beloved of the father was his greatest identity, he wasn't going to define himself based on his addiction, or his sexuality, those things were ephemeral and would never last, feelings were fickle and depending on them could never make him know right from wrong, for example if a pedophile went by his feelings always, he would keep on harassing children sexually, so what then was truth, if our feelings could be deceptive at times, truth was the word of God, he had come to realize that only the one who created us could determine what we need, we didn't create ourselves so we don't know what's best for us, but trusting the one who created him and life itself was the best way to live and he was grateful to be living this life.

"Nathan....any news from the private investigator you hired", his mum asked as she flipped some pancakes in the kitchen.

"Not yet mum.....mum I have always been meaning to ask, how did you cope with the loss of dad when you were pregnant with me".

"Oh son....that was really a trying time for me, but you know what changed ?".
"What changed?".

"My perspective about death changed....you know prior to that I had always seen death has something to be afraid of but when I read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, a lot changed, read it out for me soon.

Nathan opened the bible app on the phone and read it out.
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.

"Does it mean I still don't cry about it...no...but something has changed...I am not crying like this world is all there's to life, there's more and Jesus didn't just tell us about the afterlife , he proved it to us by being the first person to resurrect from the dead never to die forever.
"Hmmm", Nathan said staring into space and meditating on those words, his mum continued frying more pancakes and she later brought out some syrup out from the fridge.

Nathan's phone rang, seeing it was the private investigator he hired, he picked it.

"We have found her Nathan ....would send the necessary details to you".

"Thank you so much George".

"What did he say son?", his mom asked her expression curious.

"Andrea has been found mum...which means I get to see our baby soon", his mum came to hug him, tears of joy evident on her face.
