While Jason was a fighter through and through, Thomas was amazing at sensing magical energies and breaking through them. Trained by Loki himself (in a dream), Thomas was a master of understanding various forms of magic. He could not cast spells, but his knowledge was enough to earn the respect of the gods.

Together Jason and Thomas were unstoppable, considering that Jason was unaffected by most magic and his favorite pastime was beating up anyone that he thought deserved it (which was a lot of people).

Also, unsurprisingly Natasha and Jason made eye contact and decided that they needed to train together. Hopefully, nobody would break anything.

"Aida!" Peter cried as he ran up to me, leaving Steve's side and practically jumping on me. I smiled as I picked him up, hugging him tight as I spun him around.

"How's my brave little angel?" I asked as I put him down again.

"Good!" He said, "I did all my homework by myself, Mr. Steve didn't even have to help me. Then we saw a lego movie and it was a lot of fun."

I felt bad that I had left Peter for two days with Steve and Bucky, but it was the best thing to do while I recuperated. As Peter kept talking I nodded at Thomas and Jason, who followed Natasha out of the room.

She would give them a tour of the school, letting Thomas see if he could sense any different energies. That way we could start narrowing down the places Hydra was likely at and prevent the next sacrifice.

"Thank you for taking care of him," I smiled at the men as I turned around to take Peter back to our apartment.

"No problem, doll." Bucky said as he walked next to me, Steve on the other side.

"Uhm, are you guys coming back to our apartment?"

Bucky gave me a smirk, "Yep, figured we should do our jobs and keep watch over you."

I mean, they could definitely do that from their own place but whatever. Making some extra dinner was never an issue anyways.

"Aida," Peter stopped walking and glanced to the side, nervously tugging on my apron.

"Yes, munchkin?" I asked while trying not to pinch his cheeks.

"Uhm, can Wade stay the night?" Peter glanced over to the side again and when I looked there was the little blond head of hair peeking out behind a building. When he noticed he was caught, he came out and gave me a hard stare as if trying to intimidate me.

So cute. "Of course he can," I said, "Why don't you go get him and we can all head back for dinner together."
"Really?" Peter gasped, "Thank you! You're the best, Ms. Aida." Peter ran over to Wade, grabbing his hand as he tugged him over to where we were standing. Wade thanked me, gluing himself to Peter's side as we all walked back together.

Later that night, after putting Wade and Peter to bed I sat in the living room with Bucky and Steve. Having heard nothing from Natasha, Jason or Thomas my anxiety was building up with every second that passed.

"I'm sure they're alright," Steve said as he put down a mug of tea in front of me, "You said they could take care of themselves, believe in them."

"They can," I don't know if I was reassuring Steve or myself, "But they also have a history of getting into really dumb situations."

Bucky chuckled, "Sounds like someone I know." He bumped into Steve's side, getting a slight glare from him as he went to sit down next to me.

"You've known them for a while, haven't you doll?" Bucky asked and I nodded.
