(Miss Movin' On By Fifth Harmony)
Foolish's Pov
Eryn stood there, staring off at the door, as I stood next to her. My hand was playing with her hair, trying to calm her down. I could see the storm brewing in her eyes, even if she wasn't saying anything.
Julie walked back inside, worry written all over her face as she ran up to Eryn. Eryn stood staring at her. Once the tears fell from her eyes, she looked around at all of us, and crumbled. I put my ars around her holding her up, as she cried.
She cried so hard, and it broke my heart.
"Ry, can you grab water?" I asked and she nodded. Julie rubbed her back, as Eryn buried her face into my shoulder.
"Why is he back?" She sobbed, and Julie closed her eyes, almost as if she was feeling Eryn's pain.
"Who was that?" Rylee asked, handing me the glass of water.
"My ex. He must've got out of jail, and found me." Her voice wavered. She still held confidence, but you could tell she was second guessing it.
"I can't do this. I can't be here. He knows where I am." I held her body tightly, not wanting to let her go. I looked toward the window, and the bustling of people walked by.
"What's his name, if you don't mind me asking?" I asked, and I felt her wrap her arms around my torso.
"Eric. Eric Sweeny."
I clenched my jaw at the name. Eric Sweeny was the guy that made this beautiful girls life a living hell. She's curled up in my arms and I can't help but think about how hard it must've been for her to see him.
"Let's go." I spoke, standing up, and holding my arms up.
"Can you two go grab her stuff from the back?" I asked, and both girls rushed off.
"I can't be here-"
"We are leaving, and I'm coming with you. Don't think I'm gonna leave you for a second." I reassured her. The girls came out with a bag, and I grabbed it. Eryn held onto my arm as we walked out of my car.
She can't be there. He knows where she is. I opened her door, and made sure she was in, putting her bag by her feet. Julie and Rylee stood outside of the bar watching me. I looked at Eryn then back at the girls.
"Julie, you're in charge, please lock up, and open tomorrow. I'll give you a raise myself." Julie shook her head with a smile on it before holding a thumbs up.
"Thank you both." I got into the driver's seat, and backed my car out of the parking lot. I looked over at Eryn when I stopped at a red light and she was crying, but she was calmer now.
"Can we go to my house?" She asked, and I nodded, turning around and going in the direction of her house. She was curled up in my passenger's seat, and my heart ached. I just wanted to hold her.
"We can go anywhere you want." I reached my hand over, and wiped her tears with my thumb at a red light. I would do anything to take her pain away.
"Can we stop at my house so I can grab clothes?" I asked her, before she nodded. My house was on the way to hers so it wasn't out of the way.
I made her come inside my house, even though she wanted to sit in the car. I didn't want her out of my sight. Call me overprotective.
Once we got to her house, I locked the front door after I walked in, and she walked around the house. Her flooring was half done, all of the tarps on the floors were pulled up because she was done painting.
I put my bag down by the stairs, and followed her into her dining room. All of the pictures and boxes that were sitting on her table were still there. She pulled her trash can over, and threw all of the pictures that had him in it, out.
"You had red hair?" I asked her, holding up a picture of their engagement.
"Yeah." She answered, taking the picture from my hands and throwing it out.
"I don't even know why I kept these." She mumbled angrily, before I walked over and wrapped my arms around her, leaning my head on her shoulder.
"Sometimes we expect better, and that's why we keep things."
