"Y/N, today is the day you and Lightning start on your journey. Hopefully you can get farther that me and Absol here..." He said as he pets his prized Pokémon. "Anyways, come on... you gotta get up and go. Your mother needs to check up on that Shiny Electrike of yours." The man said as the boy nodded.
Y/N L/N is a young boy from Vaniville town in the Kalos Region. He spends most of his days with his Breeder mother and Pokémon trainer father. His shiny Electrike named Lightning was bred by his mother with her Pokémon. It was gift, for her son when she found out Electrike and Manectric were her son's favorite Pokémon. Though it being shiny was a complete accident, one that made the boy's mother feel a tad upset because she became a breeder to breed such Pokémon.
