The past of Lightning, Y/N and Serena.

Lightning woke up in the middle of a Pokémon Center where Y/N was sitting next to his bed. "You okay bud?" Y/N asked, and Lightning got up slowly and looked around. "We're in the Pokémon center... Nurse joy took care of ya. But we're behind Calem, Tierno and Trevor who got their gym Badges... you kinda expelled all of your electricity and needed to rest up. As for Ash, he's still here trying to get his gym badge." Y/N explained as Nurse Joy walked into the room.

"Oh, Electrike is awake... I thought he'd be out for a lot longer... That was quite the light show... It was even on the news... You're quite the powerful Pokémon..." Nurse Joy complemented. Lightning stood up on the table and shook himself off. He then looked at Y/N who was sitting in the corner of the room scrolling through the Pokedex.

"Trike! Electrike... Electrike!!!!" Lighting was up and about growling and pacing.

"Oh my... is everything okay?" Nurse Joy asked, and Y/N stood up. Looking into Lightning's eyes, he saw the pride in his eyes and the anger in his face.

"Pride... he's upset, but he doesn't have a reason to be... Lightning, you lit up the world... You gave it everything you had because you wanted to please me... you wanted me to succeed, and we did..." Y/N said, and Lightning sat down on the bed angry.

"Aw, such a loyal and good Pokémon... he's a rarity... I've never seen such raw power from a Pokémon..." Nurse Joy recalled the events of the day before.

"What do you mean? I'm sure other trainers have come through here with a lot stronger Pokémon... we still have ways to go and-" Y/N was cut off by Nurse Joy putting a hand on his shoulder.

"Y/N... that Electrike showed power that I've never seen before... so much power that it almost knocked out the region's power... You two are definitely one to watch out for... He's alright by the way... you two can go." Nurse Joy said, and Lightning jumped off the bed and immediately ran off.

"Lightning?" Y/N said as he chased behind him. However, Lightning was far too fast as he lost Y/N and then found Serena who was talking with the others.

"A-are you sure Serena? Y/N might..." Calem trailed off.

"I've been looking for Ash for years... I finally found him and I wanna travel with him... also, I don't know what I really want out of this journey yet. But it's been so long since I've seen him and-" Serena was interrupted.

"Electrike, Trike!" Lightning appeared and everyone glared but Lighting looked at Serena in an almost pleading way. "Electrike! Electrike trike!" Lightning ran around in circles trying to get the attention of Serena.

"Looks like Y/N's Electrike is here which means he's not too far behind..." Calem said but Serena kneeled down to Lightning who looked up at the girl.

"What does it want?" Tierno asked only for Lightning to jump up and down... and kept making noise.

"I wonder if it has anything to do with Y/N's offer?" Shauna asked and Lightning nodded vigorously. Serena looked at Lightning who stood on his back legs trying to get Serena to agree.

"Well, at least he's a lot nicer than his trainer. But Serena, I wouldn't do it... Y/N is... well, he's Y/N... that Ash guy seemed a lot nicer, and he was pretty cool." Trevor said and soon, Y/N arrived.

"There you are Lightning."  Y/N said walking up to his friend. Y/N looked at them and nodded at them. "Lightning, we should get going... we made our choice... remember?" Y/N said as Lighting looked back at Serena and who looked into Lightning's eyes.

"Aw, Lightning is begging..." Shauna said looking at the Pokémon. But then she looked up at Y/N. "Hey... Y/N... are you okay?" Shauna asked looking at Y/N who refused to show emotion.
