As Shauna and Serena were preparing for the Pokémon Showcase, the rest of the group were all talking amongst themselves about how their battles with Ramos went. Meanwhile, Zinnia was with Lightning enjoying food and festivities... well... enjoying as much as Lightning was willing to enjoy. "You know... moping about isn't gonna change anything..." Zinnia whispered to Lightning, and he just growled at her. "Fine... mope away." Zinnia said as Lightning did just that.
As for Y/N, he went back to the Gym to challenge Ramos again. Only...
"It's closed?!" Y/N said in horror as Ramos walked up next to him. "Of course... besides... you wouldn't have won anyway." Ramos said and Y/N scowled at him. "Oh, there you go mean mugging... why don't you enjoy the festival? It's a special one... It's about the bonds of Trainer and Pokémon... in fact, I know a story-" Y/N walked away from Ramos in a huff. "Tsk, Tsk... you're still blind." Ramos said as he got on the back of his Gogoat.
Zinnia and Lightning watched from afar with Lightning looking down. "So that's what's going on..." Zinnia said deep in thought. "You want Y/N to fully understand you, like you understand him, right?" Zinnia asked and Lightning nodded. "Huh... you're a lot smarter than I give you credit for." Zinnia smiled as she handed Lightning a berry.
"Well, today is a special festival that celebrates the bonds between trainer and Pokémon. Maybe, Y/N might leave you a gift for tonight at the tree?" Zinnia said and Lightning shook his head and started walking.
"Wow... give him a little benefit." Zinnia said and Lightning shook his head. "So stubborn." Zinnia smiled. "Well, how about we get Y/N a gift?" She suggested and Lightning stopped in his tracks. "I have money..." Zinnia added. "Lightning then nodded at her. "Heh, knew you still cared." Zinnia smiled.

Y/N walked around the festival streets with nothing but anger and betrayal on his mind. Sitting under a tree on a hill that overlooked the town, Y/N clenched his fists tightly. Just then, Draceon and Gardevoir popped out of their Pokeballs.

"What?!" Y/N snapped at them making them both look around, presumably for Lightning. "He left!" Y/N said as he turned away from the two and slammed his head against the tree.
