"So, this is the big Lumiose city?!" Zinnia said with a smile while looking at the big city. "Yeah, it's beautiful here." Y/N said as he and Lightning walked behind Zinnia. Y/N noticed the burned cape she was wearing. "Hey... why don't we grab a bite to eat?" Y/N suggested. "Yes!" Zinnia said immediately. "I am determined to make you mine..." Zinnia said as Y/N chuckled. "So, possessive. You're a psychopath..." Y/N teased. "I am not! I'm just happy we're together again!" Zinnia said with a grin. "Of course you are... probably gonna kill whoever gets near me." Y/N joked.
"Ha, ha." Zinna crossed her arms while walking into a restaurant. "So... how's life been?" Zinnia asked and Y/N sighed, looking at Lightning. "I realized that I needed to do a lot of growing." Y/N admitted while putting their order in. "Really? You seemed so sweet and kind before." Zinnia smiled. "Well, seeing Dad's old battles and learning a lot of things really changed me... this journey I've been on has been wearing me down... hard." Y/N admitted.
"I've seen a bit of it... I have been watching for a while... but tell me everything... I'm here to listen." Zinnia smiled. "Okay, well where to begin..." Y/N said leaning back in his chair. "The beginning is a good start." Zinnia smirked. "Ha, funny." Y/N replied.
"But in all seriousness, after I left you... I kinda spiraled out of control. When I first moved to Kalos, my mom breed me an Electrike." Y/N explained. "Which is Lightning, that adorable guy next to ya." Zinnia added.
"Yeah... as I was waiting for him to hatch, my dad sent me to this summer camp in Kanto for a little while." Y/N said, and he sipped on the drink that was just brought to him. "I'm following..." Zinnia smiled. "Well, let me explain fully." Y/N nodded.
"You see, after my dad showed me that he almost became champion in this region and how he was giving it all up... it bothered me." Y/N whispered. "It bothered me because, I felt that he was stupid for doing so... how could you settle for second best?" Y/N asked, and Zinnia nodded. "It bothers me, because if he was that strong why?" Y/N asked, and Zinnia leaned forward.
"I have a question... do you think being weak is why it bothers you?" Zinnia asked and Y/N thought about it. "Why do you ask?" He replied.
"Y/N, you couldn't do anything when my village was attacked... then you learn that your father was strong enough to help... Y/N... in the short time we spent together... there was one thing I noticed about you... your emotions and reaction to things... they're extreme." Zinnia called out.
"Like really extreme, you have a lot of passion and desire to do more than you actually can. It's why I like being with you, because I know that if you really care about someone... then you'll try to move mountains for them." Zinnia explained as Y/N listened intently.
"But on the flip side... if you hate someone... or just don't care for them... you can be extremely rude, dismissive and downright awful. Your emotions are extreme and a lot like a very deadly lightning strike. Quick and destructive.... it's why I called you my lightning prince... because if something upset me... that nasty side would emerge." Zinnia explained.
"That... is consistent." Y/N looked down. "Exactly... but here's something I wanna know... what is your obsession with that girl's hair?" Zinnia asked and Y/N sighed.
"Ugh... how do I describe it..." Y/N began, deep in thought. "Take your time... I ain't going anywhere." Zinnia said, sipping her drink.
"Well... it was warmth..." Y/N said softly. "Serena... has this certain warmth and kindness to her that I can't explain. You see, when she hugged me, I was greeted by that warmth, kindness and something else... when I ran my fingers through that hair of hers... it was an indescribable feeling..." Y/N admitted before adopting an uncomfortable expression. "God, I sound creepy." Y/N said.
