Y/N's valuable Lesson + The Lonely Eevee (Part Three)

Eevee looked into Y/N's eyes and the two knew that this was a very important moment for them. However, as the battle between Y/N and Grant was about to begin, Y/N's attention was snatched by the others arriving. Y/N looked at the others who were spectating, Calem, Tierno and Trevor looked a little annoyed, but Ash was smiling and pumped up knowing he was about to see a battle. However, Serena was staring at the red hair girl holding Lighting. As Y/N was trying to control his emotions and inner emotions, Serena walked up to Zara and sat next to her.

"Um... H-hello." Serena said as Lighting stared at Serena, but Zara just smiled. "Hi... what can I help you with?" Zara asked and Serena went a bit pale. "U-um... are you with Y/N?" Serena asked and Zara tilted her head to the side. "Yeah, we're traveling together... his Pokémon are really something else. Wonderful and powerful creatures..." Zara said while petting Lightning's head.

"A-are you interested in him by chance?" Serena asked and Zara thought for a moment. "In what way?" Zara asked and Serena went red. "W-well... romantically." Serena asked looking away and Zara turned a tad red, but she sighed. "It's much too soon for me to tell... also, I don't know much about him at all. He seems distant but he has a certain level of softness to him. Like, even though that exterior is tough, brooding and even hard to deal with, he also has that level of care for things he holds dear. Like this little guy he calls Lightning... or more recently, Eevee." Zara said while pointing at Y/N who was holding Eevee in his arms.

"Well Y/N, seems we have quite the audience. Ready to battle?" Grant asked and Y/N glared at Grant. "Don't worry about the audience... this is between me and you. Frogadier, Stand by for battle!" Y/N said as he tossed out Frogadier.

"Ah, a water type... smart choice... but before we battle... I must ask, what were you thinking of while climbing up here?" Grant asked and Y/N just narrowed his eyes. "Nothing... I was just climbing..." Y/N said but Grant saw right through him. "Viola was right... you do hide your emotions... but I can see them through your Pokémon... That Electrike your friend is holding, it's eyes hold loyalty and desperation... but also love. That Frogadier you just sent out... it's calmness yet cocky swagger seems to emulate your own silent confidence about yourself... then there's that Eevee..." Grant looked at Y/N's new Eevee and a calm look crossed his eyes.

"That Eevee shows me how much you've been through... both you and that Eevee has had a lot of issues but a lot of growth as well. I can't wait to see what else I see in the eyes of your Pokémon. GO ONIX!" Grant said throwing his own Pokémon out.
