During the day, Carlos has been working hard trying to figure out how to get the magical stone from Lance. He was furious that even the Skull Sisters weren't able to fulfill the deed for him. As he knows that the security of the castle doubled by the incident. He was in his room looking out the window seeing Shelia coming inside of the castle from the training grounds and clenched his fists.

"She had to get in the way of my plans. No matter, I can just get rid of her just as easily." He said to himself.

"Um, Noble Carlos?" Rick asked as he walked in the room.

"What do you want Rick?" He asked while annoyed.

"I have been studying about the magical stone and found a way that we can get it out of the human child." Rick explains as he gives him an old book.

"Where did you get this?" Carlos asked as he looked through it.

"I was able to take it from the Empress's Chambers. She knows about the magical stone herself." Rick confesses.

"She's keeping secrets huh?" Carlos says as he reads through.

"Looks like we can extract it out with some spell in here. But we still need to get that brat to us still to do it. We just need to find another way to get him to us." Carlos says.

"Well, we just need to get him to us ourselves without any suspicions, now it's even harder since Empress Lola arrived home from the no-fur kingdom."

"We just need to think outside the box. The power of the stone inside him will be hard for us, but he can't avoid us forever." Rick suggested.

"That stone. If I have my hands on it. The whole world will be mine." Carlos says with frustration as he finds a way to get the stone from Lance.

Meanwhile, Lindsey went to the blacksmith to get her sword sharpened and her armor repaired to get ready to do some patrolling tomorrow in the village. Lance was alone in the knight quarters and was told not to leave till Lindsey gets back. He decided to go to his room to nap. He climbed into his hammock and stared at the ceiling and was in deep thought about Shelia.

He wouldn't stop thinking about her as a mother. Of the recent events after being part of the anthro society, he never had a mother that treated him right before running away from his abusive parents. Even Shelia was confused and tried to hide from being soft, He always wanted her as a mother to him because he knows that she wanted to raise him as her own child. Even when she was hiding her softness from everyone. He closed his eyes and fell asleep during the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Shelia headed to the throne room where Empress Erica was waiting for her. As she headed to the throne room, she bowed down to her till Lola gave her a gesture for her to stand back up.

"Hello, Empress." She greeted her.

"Hello, Captain Shelia." Lola greeted her.

"How was the trip to the human kingdom?" Shelia asked.

"It wasn't as bad as I thought. We were able to make the coexistence treaty go into effect and in a week or two. There will be no more fighting." Lola explains.

Shelia didn't know what to say since she was neutral about it. Like she still doesn't trust humans in the past even though Lance was an exception to her. But deep down she did want the feud between the two races to end someday.

"Something wrong Shelia?" Lola asked.

"I'm happy about the separation feud coming to an end. But I'm worried that some humans that are evil could take advantage of our kind and could cause a war. Since they started all this quarrel in the first place." Shelia explains.

"I understand but, the human authorities are actually taking care of prosecuting the ones who are doing hate crimes on us." Lola explains.

"But still, humans can't be trusted after what they did to us earlier." Shelia says as she remembered the horrible past when she was younger.

"That's what you think about Lance? People have been saying you've been motherly to him while I was gone." Lola says with a smirk.

"Lance is different because he's a child." Shelia explained.

"Maybe so. But I know deep down that you forgive humanity for their ways."

"Ha! That will never happen." Shelia says as she was about to take her leave.

"First Stage is always denial. Just remember that." Lola warns.

Shelia then headed out of the castle grounds and headed to the village pub for some rum to calm down and gather her thoughts as her soft side kept getting into her.

"Hey Shelia, Want the usual?" The Dragon bartender asked.

"Yes please." She answers.

As the bartender makes her drink, she took a deep sip and looks back in her past as she was young.
