Kion And Rani:Two Destinies

Episode 7: Growing Up

It's been almost a year since Kion arrived at the Tree Of Life. He has now joined the night pride along with Baliyo as for Rani she helps her mom and dad to run the kingdom. Rani secretly likes Kion but doesn't know that Kion likes her back or not. She doesn't ask him in the fear that it can ruin her friendship with him. As for Kion it is the same thing.

Kion was now patrolling with the night pride, as the threat with Jehanamu was still going on. Kion suddenly felt thirsty and excused him as he went to drink water from the watering hole. When he reached there he bent down and started drinking. When he was done drinking he could some rustling in the bushes even though there was no breeze. This caught Kion's eye but he acted like it didn't notice it and stood there quietly he then started to hear footsteps and finally the animal pounced on him. Kion quickly overpowered the animal and pinned him down but was shocked when he saw that the animal was none other than Rani.

"Rani! I am so sorry for that!" Kion said as he unpinned Rani.

"It's okay Kion but how did you know I was there?"

"Well I could hear you in the bushes and your footsteps."

"Oh." Rani said  kind of ashamed.

"Hey but you will improve it overtime." Kion said to cheer up the princess.

"So what are you doing here It's not like you to come out of patrol." Rani asked.

"Oh I was just thirsty." Kion answered.

"Oh bu-" Rani was cut off by Kion.

"Wait do you hear that." Kion said hearing something.

Kion and Rani both stood in their fighting stance. As the animal got closer Kion prepared to pounce on him but quickly stopped when he noticed the animal was none other than Baliyo.

"Baliyo?" Kion asked.

"Kion-kion. It's Jehanamu and his army they are attacking from the pass come quick."

"Ok Baliyo sorry Ra I gotta go." Kion said running off with Baliyo.

"Yeah *sigh*."

"Ugh why couldn't I tell him. I have feelings for him but."

"Rani?"

Rani turned around to see Ananda standing in distance.

"Uhh Mom how much of that did you hear."

"Enough to know that you like Kion. So when are you going to ask him."

"I don't know mom. Besides I don't even know if he like me or not."

"Rani I also didn't know that your dad liked me. But he took the risk to ask me. Remember Rani if you are too afraid to take the risk then you will never find out if he like you at not."

"Thank you mom that helped alot. But please don't tell anyone about this okay."

"Okay Rani but you would tell them in time."

"Yes mom."

Ananda than left walking towards the Tree leaving Rani alone to think.

Kion and the night pride now reached at the pass. And waiting for them were Jehanamu and his army.

"Come come Kion I was waiting for you."

"It's no use Jehanamu back down we don't have to fight."

"Oh come on Kion you know that's not going to work."

Jehanamu said as him and his army started running towards them.

"Ok Night Pride together. With strength and respect."

"Night Pride protect." The whole night pride finished.

Jehanamu and Kion clashed. Jehanamu lifted his paw to attack. But Kion dodged and replied with his paw but Jehanamu catched it with his mouth and throwed Kion away. Kion landed on his paw but Jehanamu's bite leaves a mark on his paw. Kion then noticed that Jehanamu half army started to come from the back. They had them cornered one by one all the night pride members were defeated and cornered.

"This is your chance Kion surrender and we will let you all go."

Kion stood in front of the night pride.

"Surrender? You know very well Jehanamu that I don't give up. And stay back."

"Are you sure Kion. You and your night pride are outnumbered."

"This is your last chance Jehanamu."

"Come on everyone attack."

After Jehanamu said that. Kion eyes shrank as the winds picked up and clouds started to appear behind him. As Jehanamu was going to attack him. Kion closed his eyes and roared sending the enemies a thousand times back. He roared until his breath was out. And finally stopped roaring. Kion opened his eyes to see night pride surrounding him. They all cheered him as he took out the enemies as it was night time they went to again to patrol one last time.

The light of the sun reached Sahasi's eyes as he finally woke up. He stood up and directly went outside to Tree. He sat there enjoying the view. He then heard some footsteps approaching him. He turned around to see Ananda sitting beside him.

"Sorry for waking you up Ananda."

"It's okay besides it's after a long time we are alone together."

"Yeah it's great with Kion taking over the leadership of the night pride we don't have to do much work now. Yesterday they again defeated Jehanamu and his army."

"Kion used his roar didn't he?"

"Yeah it's quite hard not to hear it."

"There's something more Sahasi."

"Oh yeah what is it?"

"Rani likes Kion."

"Really!" Sahasi said shocked but slowly to not wake up anyone.

"Yes I overheard her yesterday saying how she could not express her feelings to him. When I talked to her about it. It seemed she really liked him with all her heart."

"Yeah it's okay. It took very guts for me to ask you too."

"Yeah I still remember it you were literally repeating the same word again and again until you finally asked me."

They both laughed loudly remembering the times.

"It's so nice to remember the old times." Ananda said.

"Yeah." But then Sahasi noticed something.

"Hey you see that"

"See what?" Ananda said turning her head to that direction.

It was a blue bird with a long beak. It was now flying towards them. Sahasi came in front of Ananda in order to protect her.
The bird swooped down and landed in front of them.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my kingdom."

"Your highness my name is Zazu and I have a message from the king and queen of the Pridelands."
