Jake didn't get romantic feelings for Lia until one night when he actually accepted Lia's 'double date' idea. That night, after Drew and Zoey had left, they just spent a while joking around and wandering around the area around the mall.
Jake thinks Lia looks especially pretty in the moonlight, like they highlight her best features and make her glow. Because of this, he always takes Lia out at night, and when she asks about it he gets all flustered.
Lia knew she was truly in love when Jake started bringing an emergency period pack on his backpack- it has pads, tampons, and Hershey's kiss'.
Jakes favorite thing about Lia's personality is how forward thinking she is.
His favorite physical thing about her is her hands- specifically her nails, because of how intricate she paints them. They paint each other's nails a lot, but Jake always feels bad when he ends up peeling them off or something.
Lia's favorite thing about Jake's personality is how easily he (seems to be able to) make friends. When he meets new people, he can talk to them for hours about some random interest they both share without even knowing their name. (Truthfully, this is just from his desire to be liked by everyone, but Lia admires it).
Lia's favorite physical thing about him is how strong he is. She likes it especially when he'll give her big bear hugs and lift her up like that.
Lia and Zoey definitely argue about who has the better boyfriend.
