Was not expecting to get requested this one lmao but I LOVE THEM SM (Jake x Zoey for those who dont know) anyway sorry for posting so slow schools getting just a bit crazy but i promise this will never be discontinued unless i say so specifically. Also, this is less of a bunch of headcannons and more of one specific AU with a bunch of stuff to it but bear with me here,,

The beginning:

So this all started beginning of junior year timelime, so a bit before the cannon storyline. Zoey and Drew are dating still, but Zoey doesn't rly care abt him like that (at least,, not anymore). She and Lia hang out a lot with the Jomies, partly bc of drew and zoey partly bc of lia's crush on jake. One specific day, they all spend time at the mall or drews house or smt idk. Lia gets dragged off somewhere with Henry, Liam goes home bc his mom called or smt, and Zoey makes up some exuse to go home early so she doesn't have to stay with Drew.

Something something something, Jake offers to walk her home. They have a deep conversation about her and Drew's relationship were Jake accidently admits to thinking she deserved better.

Z: "Pfft, yeah, but theres not that many great guys just lying around, you know. Who would treat me that much better?" *Kinda joking*

J: "I would." *Fully serious*

Zoey kisses Jake that night. A few times. He goes home feeling conflicted but also like really giddy.

BMC (Before the Music Club):

They start hanging out, just the two of them, a lot more. Zoey got Jake to wear a dress once (he kinda liked it) and also does his eyeliner.

Enemies to lovers? Nahh, these two dumbasses are enemies AND lovers. Doomed toxic yuri vibes, iykyk. They have to try to keep their relationship secret from everyone else, bc obvious reasons, but also Zoey is a huge flirt and Jake turns bright red at anything and everything. They balance it out by acting like they hate eachother even MORE in front of others.

Zoey will shove Jake against the wall in an empty classroom like flirting or wtv when Drew walks in and they act like they were like,, beating eachother up. Zoey gave Jake a black eye once on accident because of these (strangely common) scenarios. She kissed it better later to apologize.

Jakes favorite thing about Zoey's personality is how sly she is. She's really good at keeping secrets, but he knows she wouldn't keep anything important from him.

His favorite physical thing about her is her hair. You cannot tell me Zoey doesn't have the most silky soft hair ever, and he loves playign with her hair and braiding it and all that cute stuff.

Zoey's favorite thing about his personality is how sweet he is. She loves all the little things he gives her, even the rocks he found outside.

Her favorite physical thing about him is his skin. Jake somehow never has acne- his skin is super soft, too. It makes doing his makeup a lot easier, and she like just holding his hand on walks when they're alone.

AMC (After the Music Club) (AKA I make them actually toxic):

Zoey got like. Really REALLY jealous when Jake joined the music club and started hanging out with her less. At first, it was alright, but then Jake blackmailed her for Milly (instead of mentioning the other guy, that doesn't happen, but he hints at telling Drew about them being together).

Jake wouldn't actually tell Drew about them, and they both knew that, but Zoey saw how serious Jake was about the page and gave in. Lia was very confused. So was Hailey.

Stuff goes about the same as in cannon for a bit, except behind the scenes Zoey is being extra clingy and controlling with Jake. He slowly starts distancing himself from her more and more as time goes on.

Y'know that episode 9 scene? When Jake says the stuff? That still happens, but the build up is something other than Daisy and Sean. Idk what it would be, but it all leads to the same thing anyway. Zoey records it to use later, planning to use it to make Jake be with her more. Lia sends the recording, still, and messes that up.

again, stuff go about the same for a bit. Zoey posts the recording, freaks out a bit more during episode 11/10 part 2, and doesn't show up to the competition. Drew broke up w/ her because he found out she was cheating on him, but didn't know it was w/ Jake. Drake up goes about the same, Drew is a bit worse. Competition happens (Max who? idc about him rn) blah blah blah

Zoey corners Drew and tells him it was Jake she's been with the whole time. They yell at eachother a bit. Jake and Drew have a physical fight in the hallway later.

Jake still has feelings for Zoey, but doesn't know what to do now that he knows about her trying to mess stuff up w/ the music club. Zoey is still very upset but tries to keep moving forward; she doesn't know what else she can do without him, now.

They're the only two (plus Drew sorta) that know about how important they were to eachother. Every time they see eachother in the hallways, they're both reminded of that first night alone together.
