*Chapter seventeen-Defending*

For my lunch period i had went outside to the baseball field. The weather today was nice.The sun was out and the wind felt great against my skin. I wasn't hungry i had lost my appetite.I also didn't want people to stare at me. A boy and girl were both inside the field hugging eachother against the wired fence.I looked at them for a second i didn't want to be noisy. I knew the girl it was Ashley. I quickly looked away before she had caught my eye contact. I walked outside the baseball field and then towards the side door of the school. My stomach was calling me.I held onto it trying to ignore the fact that i was hungry.The bell was about to ring for seventh period. I opened the door to the side of the school and i had walked in. A staircase was there .I sat down on the first steps.I heard the stairs door upstairs open and these three boys came running down the stairs.I stood up to get out of their way. I thought of myself as an outcast sometimes .I was quiet and i talked to a minimum of people. Most of them were upper classmen. The bell had rung .I walked into the hallway walking to my seventh period.

Suddenly my stomach had turned when i saw Brian and Maxwell walking towards my way.They both had already caught eye contact with me.I felt my blood get cold. I stood still. Why couldn't i have just continued to walk. Maxwell had grinned at me."What have you been writing in that diary of yours?" he said. He had started to laugh snorting.I felt my mouth dry up.I felt my cheeks get hot."Max just quit that was uncalled for" Brian said.Max started to laugh again .He bent over and put both of his hands on his thighs. I felt my heart beat faster and i felt my eyes get watery.I couldn't control my emotions sometimes but i didn't want to cry in front of them two especially Brian. I slowly started to walk away.I heard someone slam into a locker.It was Max Brian had pushed him into the locker."Alexis are you alright?" i heard .I turned and saw Brian .He was standing in the middle of the hallway. I nodded."Yeah im okay thanks..." i said.His facial expression had showed that he was being very apologetic.He stood up for me...He had nodded and gave me a crooked smile and he had turned around and walked down the hallway to his seventh period class.
