Crushes on you

*Chapter eleven-jealousy*

The lunch bell had rung for period five and i slowly got up with my tray pushing my chair in with my foot. There was a crowd at the lunchroom doors.Matthew never returned. I dumped my food into the garbage and slid my tray onto the table near me.I didnt want to get caught into the crowd with obnoxious teenagers. I stood near the table waiting to squeeze through the door. I didn't see bryan and his friends walk out of the lunchroom. I could tell Matthew was mad at me. I walked through the door and down the hallway to the girls restroom.I opened the door hoping that i would be the only one in there but i saw Sierra. She was leaning forward and was applying pink lip gloss to her lips.In the mirror i could see her eyes trail over to me. I quickly looked down and headed to the first stall hoping that she wouldn't say anything to me.I closed the door to the stall lightly with my hand on the lock. "Alexis" i heard her say. Her voice sounded like it was trembling. I stood still thinking of what i should say."Yes.." i said.I heard her walking."I know you like Bryan but there is no way that he would ever have a chance with you" she said.Her voice sounded stiff. I looked down at the floor watching her shadow creep underneath the stall that i was standing in. Sierra and the rest of her friends knew that i liked Bryan.There was a knot in my throat and i didn't know what i should say.I heard her footsteps walk away from my stall and then i heard the restroom door open.

I waited a few minutes and then i walked outside of my stall and towards the mirror.I looked at myself and then thought about how different things would be now. I turned on the sink and pumped a handful of foamy white soap on my hand and washed my hands in cold water. I opened the bathroom door and thought about the weight that i would be holding on my shoulder for the rest of high school.It was time for period six and i knew i was late. The hallways were becoming quiet and less students were in the hallway. I made it to my math class and stopped in front of the classroom door. Bryan and Sierra were both n that class. My stomach was turning and i refused to go into the classroom and have other students stare at me and gossip about me.In this class i also wanted to bring my grades up but i wouldn't be able to make it through this class.I backed up and walked down the hallway towards the library. I was hoping that the library was still opened. The lights inside the library were dim and the library door was closed.I covered my face with both of my hands and placed my bookbag on the floor. I wont cry...not now...
