The sun shone through the curtains of the hospital room, shining on the sleeping boy's features. Meanwhile, a more than awake Eunkyung was sat across from the sleeping boy. Quietly admiring his features. The nurses had come in earlier that day, checking up on her for the one-millionth time in the past week she had been out for.
The nurses had come seen her earlier that day the sight of an awake Eunkyung surprised them a little. Eunkyung looked over at them and hushed them quickly before nodding her head toward the sleeping boy. The two nurses walked over to her checking all of the test results and checking up on her heart rate etc.
Eunkyung was oblivious to what was going on at that point still slightly dazed due to waking up not too long ago. She continued to stare at the sleeping boy until one of the nurses caught her attention by leaning down to her side and whispering. "He's been here every night for the past week since you've been admitted. He would leave in the early hours and return at any moment possible with another man, sometimes even with a group of them, but he was always the last one left, and he always spent the night."
The other nurse nodded before chiming in on the conversation. "Yep, some nights he'd come up to me and beg me to let him in even though it was after visiting hours." Eunkyung sat there baffled by the news the nurses had just told her. In all honesty, she'd be lying if she said butterflies didn't erupt in her stomach when she was told this.
She looked back over to the boy before looking back at the nurses before nodding. One of them finished up the last checkups while the other asked if he needed anything, only getting a slight shake to indicate that no she didn't need anything before the two nurses bid her farewell until later on in the day. This allowed her to look back at Haechan sleeping so peacefully.
The window on one side of the room had been opened, the blinds pulled up to allow a fresh breeze to sweep through the room. Eunkyung sat by the window breathing in the fresh air, allowing herself to feel somewhat serene. She knew why she was in the hospital; she may have hazy memories from the whole ordeal but the bandage on her arm was a dead giveaway.
Guilt was written all over her features, dread filling her veins as thoughts slowly started to swarm her mind. She had zero clue how she would explain this to Jaemin. The boy had never been told about her depression, how was he supposed to know she'd even consider such a thing? Her thoughts started to go rampant until she chose to walk back over to the hospital bed, slowly sliding in before pulling the blanket up over her.
