Chapter 10 Oh Gods where the fuck has y/n gone now again

Maria's pov

(That morning)

I woke up in the empty Zeus cabin and got ready to go to the arena. I expected Y/n to be there too as she always gets up much earlier than the rest I grabbed my sword and walked towards the arena. Unlike every other morning, I heard no sounds coming from the arena indicating that Y/n was training.

I walked in but saw that no one was there. I shrugged and thought to myself she was probably wandering around in the woods where we used to play capture the flag, or was at the canoe lake clearing her head as she seemed quite stressed yesterday. Wherever she was I didn't feel like disturbing her whatever she was doing.

When it was time for breakfast I looked at the Poseidon table but she wasn't there I was a little worried now. I walked over to the Hades table where Elisabeth was sitting she looked like she had only just woken up and was still half asleep. I walked over to her and sat down next to her to ask if she knew where Y/N was.

"Hey sleepyhead do you know where y/n is? I didn't see her in the arena this morning and she's not here now I'm worried."

Elizabeth looked up

"Maybe she's in the woods and lost track of time," she said sleepily

"We've already looked there and she's not there"

"Maybe she overslept," she said before returning to her food

"Overslept you know y/n who has never overslept she is always awake before the sun comes up" I exclaimed

"We should have a look in her cabin after dinner, maybe we'll find something," said Elisabeth, looking up, now with more alarm in her voice, sleep now completely gone

Time skip

Breakfast is over and Elisabeth and I are on our way to y/n's cabin. On the way we meet Annabeth who asks us if we know where y/n is. Elisabeth explains that we don't know and that we are going to her cabin. We walk past the Apollo building and Will comes out and asks if we know where y/n was because he had to ask her something. We explain what we also explained to Annabeth and so Will tags along too.

Nobody's pov

Arriving at the Poseidon cabin they walked in and see you lying on your bed, they see that you are having trouble breathing and your hands are making clawing movements as if something is trying to strangle you and you are clawing at that person's arms.

Immediately they all run to your bed as quickly as possible.

"What's happening can you help her Will"

Maria looks concerned from you to Will.

"We have to try to wake her up her defense mechanism seems to think she is being strangled and to get her out we have to wake her up" Will says as he rushes to your bed.

You start to shake even harder and now you can't breathe at all.

"She can't breathe anymore, what should we do?" asks Elisabeth

"Move over," Maria yells, pushing Will and Elisabeth aside.

"I'll handle this"

Maria grabs you by the shoulders and starts shaking you mercilessly as she calls out

"Y/N WAKE UP Y/N"

They all start calling your name

"COME ON Y/N WAKE UP Y/N Y/N WAKE UP NOW"

End flashback

"WHAT?!" you exclaim, you bolt up from your bed and double up as you break out into another coughing fit.

Will immediately comes to the rescue

"hey take a deep breath follow my breathing there you go breathe"

You follow Will's breathing until you have a calm and steady breath again.

Elisabeth hands you a glass of water, which you gratefully accept

y/n pov

I take a sip of the water and take a deep breath, trying to settle down and collect my thoughts.

"how was it possible that he could touch me"

"He could also see me how is that possible"

"and who was that boss he was talking about all the time, and why did that boss want me dead so badly"

Why did he want me dead so badly?

"and he said he had been waiting for me what did he mean..."

"y/n"

My thoughts were interrupted by Will.

I looked up disturbed.

"Yes what is it?" I replied, a little annoyed that my thoughts had been interrupted.

He looked at me concerned and then started.

"I was wondering if you would mind coming with me to the infirmary for a check up and for the bruises on your neck?"

I nodded and followed Will, still half dazed.

On my way out I passed a mirror and saw what Will meant on my neck were bruises that indicate someone had tried to strangle me.

When Annabeth, Maria and Elisabeth wanted to follow us, Will stopped them and explained that it would get too crowded in the infirmary if everyone came along and that would disturb the other patients. He assured them it wouldn't take that long anyway just a quick check up and I was done.

And so with some reluctance Annabeth, Maria and Elisabeth walked away.
