Chapter 11 I've been found and now Will turns into the detective

We walk in a comfortable silence toward the infirmary.

Will and I walk into the infirmary, we walk to a separate room and step inside. Will points to a bed telling me to sit down.

I sit on the bet and Will turns to a cupboard and starts rummaging through it

I begin to lose myself in my thoughts until a question from Will brings me back to reality.

"What happened in your dream?"

I'm a bit taken aback and so I ask,

''what do you mean''

Will smiles at me kindly and with his healing powers that all the healers of the Apollo cabin have he heals the bruises on my neck while calmly answering my question.

"I mean what did you dream about it can't have been a normal dream if your body reacts so violently to it"

I hesitate for a few seconds, not sure if I should tell him or not. He saw this and reassuringly puts his hand on mine to get them to stop fidgeting, which I always unconsciously do when I'm nervous or when something is bothering me.

You know you can trust me but if you don't want to tell me that's fine and if you change your mind later and want to tell me that's fine too you know where to find me.

I took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to speak but Will stands up and says,

"I'll leave you alone for a while"

"NO STAY please" I exclaim and grab his hand tightly to prevent him from walking away.

"It's just that the dream has left me a bit unsettled," I say, looking down at the floor

"It's okay take your time," he says again with that reassuring smile

"Okay so" I start to rattle and tell Will everything I dreamed. He doesn't interrupt me, he just gives me the occasional nod or a well-placed "aha." When I'm done talking he asks me a question,

"Can I ask you a question"

I nod and he continues

"so he could see and touch you"

I nodded again

"yes and hear me"

He looks at me thoughtfully

"That is indeed strange, but what I do not understand is how you get those bruises"

"I think someone must have entered your cabin while you were sleeping and tried to strangle you, but when it failed or when they noticed we were coming they must have fled

I think deeply, it made sense ''but who in this camp would hate me so much that they would like to strangle me'' I ask

Will shrugs

"Okay you're all set" he says and I get up

"Thank you Will for everything" I say and I give Will a hug

I break free from the hug and wave to Will as I run out of the infirmary

Will waves back

"Thanks again," I yell before disappearing from sight
