Six months ago, Jihyo came to stay with you in Canada, and two months later, she informed her old bandmates that you and she were in a relationship. Consequently, they proposed a visit to get to know you better, but unfortunately, when they came, you and Jihyo were both not home.

After some contemplation, they decided to use the spare key they found underneath your welcome mat to enter your home, even though they knew it was wrong.

The girls, in astonishment and delight, walked around and discovered that their friend was living with someone who was both well-off and upstanding. They noticed the cleanliness and orderliness of the home and saw a list of house rules hung by the entrance.

The walls are painted in warm shades, and the furniture is modern with a cozy vibe. Every surface shines, and no dust can be seen when the sun beams through the windows. Each room has bright, natural tones, plenty of comfortable furniture, and carefully chosen decorations—all placed in just the right spot.

Everything in your house is tidy with no unnecessary items, and it is kept this way with daily cleaning routines. Your kitchen is filled with clean, sparkling appliances, organized cabinets, and plenty of space to work. The windows in your house are spotless, and the blinds are dust-free. The carpets are vacuumed, and the floors are polished with wax.

Your room was the last one they entered, which has two nightstands situated on either side of the queen-size bed. The walls are adorned with picture frames of you and Jihyo together, as well as of you and your late friend, Wade, from the animal shelter you visit regularly. In the closet, clothes belonging to both you and Jihyo are neatly arranged according to type and color.

Nayeon noticed the photo of you and Wade right away, rapidly picking it up and smiling at it.

"Jihyo's girlfriend has a pet duck?" Nayeon said, causing the rest of the girls to turn their gaze towards her.

She turned the frame over and saw a note stuck to the back of it.

Reading the handwritten note beside Nayeon, Jeongyeon commented sadly, "Oh, the duck passed away six months ago."

Tzuyu's quick thinking and Jeongyeon's order to hide without turning on the lights sent a wave of panic through them when they heard the car's sound, prompting them to rush into the bathroom for cover.

Momo slapped her forehead when she realized she had forgotten her bag on the sofa as soon as they stepped inside. Her friends gently reprimanded her, each of them speaking in an undertone.

As you arrived home around 3:30 in the afternoon with your newly purchased groceries, you removed the paper bags from the passenger seat and were about to head in through the main door, only to be taken aback by the sound of breaking glass from within your home.

"The picture!" yelled Nayeon quietly as she realized she wasn't able to put the frame back in its original spot correctly.

You felt uneasy as your home lacked any pets and all of the windows were firmly shut. Where could it have been then?

When you twisted the handle, you were surprised to find the door unlocked. You quickly looked beneath the mat for the key, but it was nowhere to be seen.

"What the fuck?" you thought.

As you slowly stepped into your house, you called out to your girlfriend, pondering if she had arrived back home yet.
