You had been looking forward to an off day for weeks, hoping to get a break from the demands of your job. But as you were waiting for your coffee, you heard a commotion outside that caught your curiosity.

Stepping out to see what was happening, you saw a crowd gathered around a Korean woman who seemed overwhelmed by the attention. It was clear from the public's reaction that she was a famous figure, though you did not recognize her yourself. Noticing she had no easy way of escaping the situation, you instinctively stepped in to help.

Approaching the fans, you positioned yourself between them and the woman, who goes by the name Jihyo, raising your voice to address the crowd.

"Guys! Can you please show some respect? It's been a long time since she has walked alone in cities like these, and you are invading her privacy!" you asserted firmly.

A few of her fans began to back away, leaving Jihyo surprised yet relieved.

As they dispersed, Jihyo turned to you. "Thank you," she breathed, grateful for the timely rescue.

You turned your attention to her, asking if she was okay.

Jihyo affirmed with a nod. "I'm okay, but I think I should head back to the hotel."

"Do you have someone with you?" you asked, concern evident in your expression.

She shook her head, a hint of vulnerability in her reply. "No, I don't."

With a reassuring nod, you offered assistance. "Alright, I'll drive you there."

With a protective arm around her, you guided Jihyo through the crowd towards your car. Despite the lingering onlookers, you ensured that nobody invaded her personal space.

Walking beside you, Jihyo couldn't help but wonder about your experiences, impressed by your ability to navigate through the crowd. However, mindful of her current destination, she withheld her curiosity and remained silent.

Upon reaching the car, you courteously opened the passenger door for her. Once she settled inside, you circled around to the driver's side, sliding in and closing the door with a gentle click.

"So, which hotel are we headed to?" you asked as you settled behind the wheel.

You both wore your seatbelts as you prepared to drive.

Providing the hotel's name, Jihyo watched as you started the engine, ready to drive her there. But just before she could thank you, your phone rang. Swiftly tapping your right earbud, you answered the call before leaving the parking lot.

"Hey, I think you forgot your coffee," reminded Amy, your barista friend.

"Yeah, sorry about that," you responded apologetically before asking, "Can you give it to the next customer who orders it?"

"But you've already paid for it."

"I know, but I won't be able to get back before the store closes. I have to be with Maya in a while, and it doesn't look like I'll be able to come by tomorrow either," you explained.

Listening to your exchange with Amy, Jihyo couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt, realizing that her presence might have inadvertently taken up more of your time than anticipated.

"Well, if you're sure, just shoot me a text when you'd like me to remake your coffee," Amy suggested. "Be safe, okay?"

You gratefully accepted her offer, exchanging well-wishes before ending the call. You took a quick glance at Jihyo, but before you could mutter an apology, she spoke up.
